Hey guys most over here probably dont know anything about me but i usually post info in the football recruiting forums. I hardly ever have any Basketball information but im hearing alot of chatter about Stokes. I dont know what happened yesterday but the coaches seem "stoked" about stokes. Alot of people around the program think we have avery very good chance of landing him and soon.

I hardly ever speak to the bb coaches and when i do they dont give me recruiting information. this info is coming from other people within the program and not the coaches. just thought i would pass this along, would be a huge get for the program and Martin, actually it would be nothing short of amazing.

he's narrowed it down to tennessee, UK and memphis? If UT can't win that battle with those two minor league programs, something is wrong.

Apparently that rumor is going around in Memphis. A CA writer eluded to it yesterday.

Tennessee lost to Austin Peay. I'm not sure one game will be the deciding factor for Stokes.

But Tenn losing to Austin Peay, who is far worse than Murray St., wouldn't affect his decision? Find it hard to believe that is why he wouldn't ultimately pick Memphis.

I wan't implying that Stokes would pick the Vols due to Memphis' recent loss to Murray State. I was simply saying that it would be two big blows right in a row (for Memphis fans); insult on top of injury. But I can't ignore what I'm hearing re: Stokes and UT.

If he did well here it would be huge with other kids from memphis. We havnt had that and desperately need to break that door down.

When asked whether his son is leaning one way or another, Willie Stokes said, "Yeah, he is, but I don't want to say right now."

Willie Stokes said all five of the coaches who are recruiting his son have remained in contact and would like for him to join their teams immediately.

He said "all of them except Memphis and Kentucky" have a scholarship available next semester for Jarnell Stokes.

Is it really heating up? So far, I have mostly seen an internet rumor, which led to a fan asking Jason Smith on twitter. He then asked Stokes, who of course just played it an he has been and then it was right back to more internet speculation.
