White supremacist mows down mosque in NZ

That doesn’t sound like he is calling it a false flag. Sounds like he’s comparing it to the California case where the guy shot up a place hoping for stricter gun laws

Great logic. Whenever someone commits terrorism claiming it to be in support of X, which is inconvenient to your ideology, just say, "actually the terrorist wants Y, he just didn't say so."

Who can dispute that?

I agree with this. WBC has no political power. No known instances of bombing, killing, or instigating fights.
I don't know anyone willing to admit they agree with their message or their efforts. I don't know anyone who fears them.

Yeah aren’t they like anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-military?

That seems like a pretty narrow coalition of people. I think the behavior of protesting at a funeral is loathsome.

Do they still do that?

The assertion was made that Islam is an inherently violent, murdering religion. I pointed out that there are Islamic countries that are no more violent than America.

Is it an intentional homicide.
And all was implying was that in a country of predominantly one religion it is much less likely to have hate motivated crimes.

You don’t find it odd that an Australian mentioned the second amendment?

And are you claiming the guy from California didn’t want stricter gun regulations?

Bull ****. You guys need to stop blaming Trump for everything. He's not responsible for a lunatic in New Zealand. Trump may be an *******, but he's not the freakin' anti-Christ. He's not responsible for all the evil in the world.
He is the closest thing to the anti-Christ I have seen in my lifetime.

If the issue isn’t Islam, then what is it?

All true, which is precisely why I claim that people who are easily manipulated (propagandized) into hating other people are a big part of the problem and share the same basic characteristics regardless of race, religion, or nationality...gullible and non-thinking.

The constant bombardment (repetition) of propaganda through all media is at crisis level. It distorts reality which leads to bad judgement and ,over a prolonged period of time, sociopathic behavior.

I know anti gay and anti military. Idk about the other. Not sure of their tactics now either.

No, it doesn’t help. It’s just fodder for whoever already disagrees with that group. “See even your own people think you’re crazy!” It’s a total cable news mentality. It’s why MSNBC used to being on Charlie Sykes. He’s a conservative who criticizes trump. It’s like the holy grail for liberal cable news. There’s an unspoken “see, even they know he’s crazy.”

What would help is people engaging in a little introspection and holding ourselves accountable instead of just going on the offensive and calling everybody who challenges us a delusional hypocrite.

As it is, nobody wants to hear anything that doesn’t confirm what they already believe. Nobody wants to try to be better. Until that changes you/we can call out stupidity wherever we see it but people aren’t going to quit being stupid, they just boot you out of the group. Which is why I get called a liberal about every other day here.

Not speaking out is agreement
You (not personally just the average group member) cannot complain that “everyone assumes we’re all terrorist” if you don’t openly and publicly denounce the acts of terror.

Like @joevol33 just did as a Baptist.
Clearly he’s not in agreement with Westboro Baptist

Again, pull your head out of your ass and quit believing articles by people who are commanded to lie to you.

The REAL ARROGANCE is you sttempting to tell me that i am wrong about a book that I HAVE read that you apparently HAVE NOT.

No, you saying you know more than scholars because you've "read" a book is real arrogance

Easy to say when you are on the other side of the coin.
Always be vigilant.
True. Fear is the easy path. I had to work at not fearing nukes, muslims, ebola, kidnapping, food poisoning and many other sensational stories du jour.
If WBC ever grabbed a foothold of legitimacy in this country, I'd fight against it.
