Who’s better, Milton or Milroe?

2022 & 2023 stats:
Milton: 14 TDs, 0 INTs, 3 rushing TDs
Milroe: 10 TDs, 5 INTs, 3 rushing TDs

Despite people really hating on Milton, he is way better than Milroe.
Yep. This is my issue with that as well. I’ll take the guy with way less turnovers.

Really hoping Joe proves himself in the swamp next weekend.

Milroe is better than most QBs right now. Not just Joe.

2023 Milton 2,700 total yds. 21 Tds 5 ints

2023 Milroe 2,600 total yards 31 Tds 6 ints

10 TDs in favor of Milroe. That's almost 7 ppg more. Could have been the difference in the Florida and Mizzou games.

Milroe was not better than Joe at the start of 2023. Now he far surpasses him.
That's coaching!

Milton 67.1 QBR (42nd in the Nation)
Milroe 84.3 QBR (9th in the Nation)

Joe Milton 2023 2,400 yards 16 TDs 5 Ints
J. Gaurantano 2019 2,200 yards 16 TDs 8 Ints

Omg. It took me a second to realize when this post was made. I thought, is this a serious question? It's funny looking back at how many people said Milton. They were very wrong. In Milton's defense, Milroe has a huge advantage of being coached by a vastly superior coach.

And it helps Milroe is surrounded with 5 star talent.

Milroe is the better runner and has a very strong arm, but his interceptions are killers.

Milton has a cannon as we all know, but is back to struggling with with consistency, yet he’s still not throwing to the other team.

For me, I’m picking Milton.
Not Milton

Hard to blame everyone. Milroe was looking shakey and got better as the season went on. Milton did not.

Seems to me the end game results should determine who is the best, not the physical skills or potential. Yes Milroe has 10 ints but his other skills overcome that and his won/loss record is much better.

The only thing that matters is points.

Milroe has 31 TDs, 12 of which he scored himself.

Milton has just 21 TDs and scored only 5 himself.

Interceptions are 6 vs 5 so basically a wash.

Imagine what UT would have done with 70 more points this year and it's clear who the better QB is.

Since this thread was bumped and we now have almost a full season of data, I’m switching my vote over to Milroe. No animosity for Joe, thanks for your contributions but it’s time to move on.

Milroe by far. He’s improved. To be fair Milton has some as well, but he’s a 6th year senior so…I mean….

No crime in being wrong, and you aren't alone. Preseason hype and optimism runs through fan bases like a cold virus through a daycare. The season prediction thread would reveal you had plenty of company. If we had Milroe, I have no doubt we'd have at least one more win if not 2 right now. Even with this very challenged roster, the QB makes that much of a difference.

Milton can throw it 90 yards but he only throws 2 yard hitches and inaccurate routine throws. Milroe played a top team tonight but ask yourself how bad they would’ve beaten Austin Peay and if Milroe would’ve been handcuffed in doing so.
Those hitches are immediate throws, not part of progressions. You throw those cause that is the play called.
