Pic of the shiv? Or would that be implicating in some way?
You can carry in public parks unless otherwise posted. You need a concealed carry permit though. The new permitless carry law doesn't apply to parks/recreation areas. It's cool. I don't think it's illegal except in prison. Watched too much Shawshank. It won't kill anyone: just go for the eyes. Makes me feel safer than mace and tucks into sock/pants leg. I have a gun but don't know the rules for carrying on public park property. I like to walk in the evening when dogs and bicycles are gone.

I carry a Microtech Mini Troodon Tanto blade. Perfect pocket tool. Small enough to not be an inconvenience, automatic for fast opening, and I like the thick spine most knives in its class don't have.
Smokey Mountain Knife Works should have it. You can find them on sale every so often. The blade and finish determine the price. I gave 250 for mine.Just looked up that blade online. I like it, but everyone is "out of stock." Lawd, they want at least $300 for it! I'll have to save up to purchase. Until then, my toothbrush DeWalt blade shiv will get me by.
