Who carries a knife?

I have that Spyderco except it has a serrated segment about 1\2" long where blade meets handle. Think it's a 2006 vintage
However, I carry a Kershaw "open assist" chizle front. Really like it. Will post pix later

Anyone got a recommendation for a place that sells swords where you can actually handle the merchandise before purchase? Mid-TN, Nooga, or Atl area. Not looking for wall hanger like they sell at Smokey Mountain Knife shop. This needs to be something that you can put an edge on and do damage with. And need scabbard.

Frost Cutlery here in Ooltewah may be worth checking out. I haven't been in there in a few years but they used to allow you to do just that.

Basically, if I'm clothed I'm carrying an edge on me. If I walk out the door forgetting something it'll be my keys/wallet/cell phone or whatever before my knife. Been that way since Papaw gave me a Schrade LB-5 my 4th grade Christmas. I'm amazed at the dichotomy of people that ask me why I carry a knife around all the time (like it's a scimitar or something) and how often not only do I find use for a knife but have to help others cut/pry/open something.

So, anybody else EDC a blade of some sort?

As a young man I inherited a knife collection from my grandfather that he had started in the 1940s. It instilled in me a lifetime passion for knives.

I'm like you, if I'm wearing gym shorts there's a pocket knife in them. I always have an edge.

I carry a dress pocket knife that is a Case, and have utility and survival knives tucked away strategically in every bag, car, etc wherever I go.

My Case knife collection has become a shared passion with my three daughters and my son as well.

My husband always has his (he's an electrician.) He's left more than one in an airport garbage can because it's automatic for him to carry it (and of course he can't get on the plane with it and it doesn't occur to him til AFTER we've checked our luggage, lol.)

I used to carry a pocket knife but twice in airports I have forgotten I had it on me and had to toss them.

I keep one in my hiking backpack, there is one in the car glove box, but I dont keep one on my person anymore. So rare that I ever really need it. Just one more thing to carry.
