To me they have to go after the best Safety availble. Get Hope some help. Lamont gets torched when they play Cover 2. He can hit but doesnt have the speed or smarts to play great safety.
After that i would go after another Wr or LB.
We need a tall, speedy wideout with great hands. A Roy Williams type. I know CJ will be gone but Jarrett or Samardzia could be a good pickup.
Need help in the secondary, a big play reciever, and depth on both lines. I agree with CBC that we should take a safety. That is unless there is an impact reciever avaliable, then we have to grab him.
There aren't really any safeties who jump out at you for a middle to late first round pick. You have some solid CBs at that level and some nice, nice DTs.
Tough, fast player who plays more for the big play than the fundamental play. Will be a 1st day pick, probably in the 2nd round of 2008's draft, but if he shows some growth in 2007 at ND, he could sneak into the 1st round.
I don't think we go after a safety until 2nd or 3rd round where we try and pick up a sleeper if we get a safety at all. We have Fuller and Lowry for next year to come in and both have proven to be effective replacements for the "Dread". The one position we really need to get someone else solid is LB. I say we draft PW from Ole Miss. He is a beast and with Bullock, Thornton, Tulloch, and Willis on the chart that's just a SICK chart right there. We may even get some help in free agency. Free agency is one thing that could help us or break us. Drew Bennett is a FA after the season and so is Robaire Smith. The loss of Bennett hurts us more than Smith because we have already lost a #1 receiver 2 years ago but losing Smith wouldn't be as bad.
Depending on where Tennessee ends up drafting, Willis might be gone.
WR needs to be a focal point of the draft, but I could imagine Fisher looking at the trenches. There's a reason he's one of the best coaches in the league.
I've actually been fairly impressed with the offensive line this year. Having a decent running back in Travis Henry helped I'm sure, but the running game has been consistently there all year. Young's mobility is also to mask any deficiencies the line may have in pass blocking as he can get away from most of the pressure.
But, you can't have enough offensive lineman. I won't complain if that's the route they go.
The Titans need a big play WR, a nice OT, a good DT, and another S. Draft best available in the first round, then go from there. I think WR will be the biggest need because I don't think we resign Bennett. Maybe we get some nice trades like last year.
