More of a dirt bag than a coach that checks out his assistant's wives and helps cover up a rape?
Ed O might have been pretty shady with what he did to us, but I'm not sure he would stoop that low.
Depends on how desperate they get. Closer to signing day we are, the less likely they will be to hold onto principles.
My guess would be one of the names in the middle of the list or again, a OC or DC from a well established, winning program. And a salary around $2.5-3.5 million depending on when the hire is made.
Good point about James Franklin and Ed Orgeron. To be fair though, I don't think James Franklin was known for that when they hired. Since he was already their coach and he was winning they stuck by his side. But if all of that stuff happened prior to hiring him, I don't know if they would have. But you are correct, Ed Orgeron is no worse than James Franklin.
And Kiffin would be a stop gap. I really think he'd have to be an absolute last resort and they'll look for someone else that will stick around. Although, it would be funny if they hired him and knew all along they'd fire him at the end of the year so they have time to do an actual coaching search next season. Kiffin would salvage their recruiting(although they'd probably all get kicked off the team) and next year they could find someone for the long haul. I don't think Vanderbilt would ever do that but it's hard to find coaches willing to leave their program last second and screw the recruiting class over. They'll wait til next year so they can leave gracefully and not like a dick. We ended up with garbage Dooley because of Kiffin's last second departure and I'm sure Vandy will end up with someone just as crummy.
