Nobody will really know for 3 years since it will take that long for their 1st recruiting class to become knowledgable, experienced players on the field.

I like what I've been seeing and hearing so far.

VFL...GBO!!!

The truth of the matter is our fans wanted a coach that would come and beat Saban and there isn't one available. Gruden wasn't the coach to do that like people think in fact he is more like Chizek a coach that won the big one once and failed badly after that.

Dead wrong.

I would have Malzahn last on the list. Nothing impressive about him and Auburn is more impatient than we are. I think Arkansas pulled the shocker and should be declared the press conference champion.
Considering the unknown that lies ahead for their program and the addition of Johnson as DC. Auburn made a solid hire. You know what Gus and Johnson bring to the table SEC wise the other and those are questions waiting to be answered at UT, Ky and Arky. not saying Auburn made the best hire like you say Arky won the presser. I will say that all four got coaches with 'sacks' for taking on the challenge which made each job unattractive to many.

It sure as **** wasn't Tennessee.

and you read your crystal ball....In CBJ opinion Tennessee has. That's all he ever said that in his opinion we have the best staff in the country. This fan base is in critical condition on life support from this poll

Arkanslaaaw got a coach that plays an SEC style of football.....tough + defense + rushing.
He's from a nationally recognized team with a recent history of winning.
He's a well known name.
Is this really in question?
Doesnt mean he will win more games. It just means that if we were betting now, anyone with a brain would bet on Bielema.
Other than that I'd say TN got the best, naturally.

This.

Dead wrong.

yes your right, he did so good after he won the super bowl he was fired and hasn't worked as a coach since.

his total record as a NFL coach is 95 wins and 81 losses for a .540 win %

I am sorry but I see nothing there that impresses me and I am eternally grateful we didn't blow millions of dollars hiring him as a coach.

Some are speculating that Bielema's old boss never really let go of the job.

I don't know how he could accomplish that.... OTOH, how many AD's can step from behind the desk and coach a team?

Truth. Wade Phillips has a better record than Gruden.

Nick Saban. No Super Bowls 15-17 nfl record. Obviously wouldn't be a good college coach.

You do realize that his NFL win%, just ahead of Jeff Fisher's, is better than that of any college coach in the nation?

You do realize that he had a better win% in Oakland--Oakland--than Tom Coughlin has in New York or Andy Reid has in Philadelphia?

That he's the most successful coach the Raiders have had since Tom Flores?

That he has twice as many playoff appearances as Saban, Spurrier, and Carroll combined?

And you're comparing him to Gene Chizik? I'm just trying to make sure that you actually mean what you're saying.
