Who was your favorite vol to watch?

Well, first the obvious....Peyton Freakin' Manning. But....I remember being a freshman at UT, going to my very first college football game in Neyland Stadium and watching Condredge Holloway and Stanley Morgan play. Just amazing.

Condredge Holloway
Larry Seivers
Stanley Morgan
Haskel Stanback
Craig Puki
Jimmy Noonan
Ricky Townsend
Neil Clabo
Craig Colquitt

I can remember watching and cheering for Jimmy Streeter when he ran the option. I specifically remember screaming during the Bluebonnet Bowl against Purdue, I think it was. Ahhhhh...back in the day!

He was my first favorite UT player!

I think Travis Stephens just gashed UF up the middle on another shotgun delay hand off just this morning. Loved seeing Witten run through the maize and blue secondary. Peyton, Al, EB, John Henderson, Overstreet, Iceman, Shawn Bryson, Deon Grant, and everyone else who wore the right shade of orange pretty much sums it up for me.

I'd have to pick game performances...

1a. Jamaal Lewis in 1997 against UGA puppies...(1998 Auburn game started with a BANG until he got injured)

1b. Chuck Webb against Arkansas in 1991 Cotton Bowl...

3. Tony Robinson 1985 Auburn

4. Peyton Manning in 1995 Alabama game...

5. Reggie White against LSU in 1983....

6. Dale Jones in 1985 against Alabama--Best defensive play to block and intercept pass at key moment I've ever seen..

7. Dale Carter's KO return against the Gators in 1990 to start the 2nd half...

8. Travis Stephens 2001 game against the Gators...

9. Entire OL against Miami all-pro DL in 1986 Shooga Bowl...they wore 'em down in 1st half and plowed 'em in second half...

10. Tee Martin in 1999 Fiesta Bowl....Two passes that will live in Vol legend as long as UT Football exists....

Honorable mention to Charles Morgan's game against Bama in 1980....BEASTLY play for a true freshman...:salute:

I have o say the LB's of the late 90's and the GOOD rb's like Webb, Cobb, Lewis-his frosh year, Henry Garner Stewart Stephens and the last of then Hardesty. You can't leave out Pickens and Carter!

Offense: I grew up watching Peyton Manning play also really enjoyed watching Peerless Price.

Defense: Wish I could've watch Reggie White play he was slightly before my time though. I loved watching big Al Wilson wreaking havoc on opposing teams offense. Eric Berry was another favorite to.

In addition to the usual, I'd add: Steve Kiner and Hacksaw Reynolds; Larry Seivers and Richmond Flowers

I am a little partial to the defense side of the ball. For some reason I always liked Tyrone Hines, I thought he brought the wood and hit harder than any vol linebacker I have ever seen. The of course all the obvious guys like Reggie White, L. Little, Al Wilson, Raynoch, and Berry.

I went to U.T. with three of the four, and knew Reynolds. He went to high school with the guy who lived in the next room to me in Reese Hall. Reynolds came to visit him.

Eric Berry, Peyton Manning, and even though I didn't see much of Inky Johnson, I love his heart and his love for the game and UT.

Way to many for this ole Geezer to pick just one.But for sure this guy is high on the list!!!!!!
