Who will be Florida's new football coach if Muschamp gets fired after this season?

What I know from Foley's past history and this situation theoretically not working out is...

(a) it would be an offensive coach

(b) he'd have to be fairly young. mid 40's at the oldest.

I don't care what program it is, Foley doesn't hire coaches who aren't pretty young.

If I were Foley I would interview Mullen,Dabo Swinney,Gary Anderson(Wisconsin) and David Shaw(Stanford)

If he can't get Mullen, I think George O'Leary would be a good candidate. He's done well for himself at UCF. And even though he's a bit older, he could probably turn the UF program around and maybe start grooming a replacement.

No thanks on O'Leary.

He's right where he needs to be.

All of which would get into a bidding war with Florida. Except maybe Mullen. But even then, why leave an established program to come into Florida (assuming it's a dumpster fire at the end of this season) just to "rebuild" a team?

MSU wouldn't try to keep Mullen if Florida came calling. MSU has lost head coaches before:

Bernie Bierman(to Tulane then Minnesota)
Murray Warmath(to Minnesota)
Darrell Royal(to Texas)

Both Bierman and Warmath played for General Neyland at Tennessee.

Dabo is an interesting suggestion, but I think it's Chad Morris if he doesn't take the SMU job first.

If and IMO it's a big IF, Muschamp is canned UF will look to spend its money wisely. I don't think they have moronic AD like we do. Regardless of what us UT fans think, UF is a big time job at a big time school. They will not hire a Dooley type. Look for them to get a very good coach and continue their winning ways. Way too much talent for them not to succeed.

I think at this point you can work that UT into a ???? instead. Don't be a troll and actually be objective.
