Who will do the PA at Neyland?

John Ward

This. Why not? What a tribute, and it would even cause some to attend who hadn't planned on it. Also, I think a lot of the fanbase needs that link to the history of the program. So much change in the last decade. Can you imagine how epic that would be?

Your hatred for Kesling always cracks me up. :lolabove:

I don't hate him. He's just terrible and paints the picture the way people put ransom notes together. Guys that aren't playing are scoring. New names are made up. Catches are made that end up being td's on the other end for the defense. Good luck with a basketball score. I listened to a game a couple of years ago that went from 7-4 to 18-14 before he updated the score. 4 of us were in the car and due to his calling the game and not giving the score, we didn't know if either team was up or down 10.
Called the coin flip wrong (how does that happen?!) on sr day last year and and called 2 starters by the wrong first name.

He was the stadium announcer before he switched to radio turning it over to Bobby Denton.

:eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:.. and true about the basketball...I had to listen in my car for the NCAA tournament game, and was getting pizzed because I didn't hear a score for 100 miles...and new offenses are complicated, they run the scissors play every down...

Al Wilson. If players start screwing up, he will give them an earful. It will be like scared straight.

How about have a coach do it. He can call out the defense and where the blitz is coming from. Fans would be quiet and allow him to do it, then make noise as the defense tries to adjust as we know where we are going.

As much as I would love to hear that voice of John Ward I don't think it would be reasonable to think he would make a return. I don't know how I would feel about Bob Kesling. Mike Keith would be great, but why leave the NFL?

"Florida in 2 deep. Safety sneaking up. Lb will be covering the slant. Either hit Wolf in front of the dropping lb or hit North deep"
(Fan noise)

You want ideas? Ok, break the mold. Hire a woman. Problem is finding a woman with football savvy. Possible options: Woman coach or referee from the Women Football League. Test Sara Mitchell for the role.

Outside the lines ideas: Try a local high school football coach. Try a horse race announcer who is also an avid football fan. Try a retired or out of work assistant coach or referee (college or pro).
