Who would be on your short list?

He isn't in the conversation except for a random few.

Fact: He was getting ready to bring in some stud recruits. You are wrong.

And not all the players on the UK roster are guys he recruited...

I don't love BG, but you are wrong about a couple things, especially recruiting.

Yea, like Jody Meeks.

First of all, I am a Pearl supporter. However, it might be fun to see who would be on a short list if he were to leave. Who would you have?

1. Mark Few (Gonzaga)

I know this discussion is probably moot now, but please, no Mark Few - not now, not ever.

Whoever the new guy is....he better be a cussing fool!

Kevin O'Neil fits this description. U.T. would have a better half-court defense too. I'm being silly of course, but imagine to confrontations between Prince and O'Neil.

There would be exactly one... And JP would be on a Greyhound on his way back to Memphis.

Unless he's going to a team that has already won a National Championship, there is absolutely no reason for Jay Wright to leave Villanova. 0.00% chance Jay Wright is the HC of UT next year.
If X's coach won't leave for Indiana, no chance he comes here.
No chance at the Zags' coach. He'll only leave for a UCLA.
We're not going to get a big name. We may get a "hot" name. But the difference is that a big name has won something, a hot name is one people think can excel on a big stage.

You know what, you're right, and you have proven to be so knowledgeable in so many other areas that I don't know why I would ever argue basketball with you.

It would be fine with me to mutually ignore one another.

If he could coach he would still be there. If he could recruit they wouldn't have started Michael Porter every game last season.

Not all recruits pan out. Liggins was a stud and rated very highly and they had another guy just leave as well. Happens to everyone. Marques Johnson sure turned out to be pretty good. Pearl has quite a few of those guys as well.

CBG was bringing in big time talent - UK fan base just wasn't patient enough.

Jay Wright would be a bigger addition than Calipari at UK. In my opinion he would be a prize catch. Three million would be justifiable for Jay.

Yeah, that's why your previous two head coaches have left Western for programs worse than Tennessee.

Kevin O'Neill-"Cortez, do twenty pushups.
Cortez Barnes-"Coach, I don't do pushups."
O'Neill-"That's alright. You don't play on this team anymore."

you know, i think that same question was raised earlier in this thread. with similar response as well.

It's amazing sometimes, the stupidity that's out there.

Western Kentucky's a better job than UT? I bet he thinks Davidson is a better job than Tennessee too.

well, Davidson is right near Lake Norman, so it's got that going for it.

What I would give to been a fly on that wall... And also would love to hear KO's response to JP's sorry attempt at a salute....

Not sure if the question is, Does Tennessee have the ability to attract a top notch coach. But maybe, Will they go after one?

Top notch meaning, established on a high level.
