Why are we losing so many receivers?!?!

How does the way he uses the wideouts stifle his offense since he has been ranked in the top 10 in 7 out of 9 seasons.
How? By trying to fit every receiver on the right side into the Tillman mold. Not many guys can get the 50/50 ball when they are pinned to the sideline with a DB in their faces like he could. He never used the skills of the guys who followed Tillman to the best of their abilities. When they needed a big play, that's the one they always went to, and it never succeeded outside Tillman.

Tillman was hurt most of that year and Bru was the big play guy. The guys who followed never developed their skills as seen by the school they transferred to.

That was definitely Tillman's best route. He was also pretty reliable on quick slants. Hyatt caught his share of quick slants to.
Was Bru usually lined up on the far hash? It seems like his slants were more like short crossing routes underneath.

It seems to me we haven't had many quick slants in our repertoire the past 2 seasons. I'm A-ok with what Milton did for us, but I'll concede that wasn't his best throw. I thought Nico's post routes were his best throw last season. Why weren't we dialing up more quick slants with Nico? Was that a WR personnel issue with Squirrel & Thornton? Or was that a Nico missing the read issue? Or is my perception off, and we ran the same amount of quick slants in 23/24 as we did in 21/22?

With the news that Squirrel White is going to the portal we gotta ask ourselves why this is happening and how are the coaches gonna address it? It's getting bad.
So we can bring in new ones. Revamp the WR room. Same as we did with DBs last year.

Who can't understand this and has to be told? It's getting ridiculous.

So, who bears responsibility for bringing them in?
Tennessee tried a lot of WRs ( Tate, etc) but couldn’t get traction. Nimrod was a 4 star but didn’t rise to the level of SEC play. Recruiting isn’t an exact science & evaluations are important, nobody, including the Great Midget bats close to 100%.

You mean the midget who hand-selected Milroe? 😂
