The problem with Boyd is that he is going to have knee surgery -- and from what they are saying on the Clemson boards -- he won't see the field next year because of rehab.

So if we keep firm we have a better recruiting rating and a wasted pick for 2009. Maybe there is a better QB in the 2010 class. If a kid in the 2010 class is an early enroll, he would see the field before Boyd.
