If you knew that much history regarding the 1967 season I'm pretty sure you already know why the University claims a title in 67? It's a bogus claim but everybody seems to do it these days. AP and UPI had us at like 8 or 9 at the end of the season.
We make fun of Bama fans a lot for claiming questionable titles, but I know we weren't better than USC and ou beat us in the orange bowl. Claiming 1967 has always been a mystery to me. Anybody know why?:hi:
I always laugh at fans that brag about how many championships they have and the last one was in the 30s. *cough A&M cough* it doesn't matter to recruits. "We won the title in the 60s you know?"
Gotcha.
The math systems are the worst. They make absolutely no sense, and I find it kind of pathetic that any school would base a national championship claim on one. And yes, I absolutely include Alabama in that sentiment.
The fact that so many rejoiced in the inclusion of the math systems in the BCS was ridiculous.
Once again, 41 was not the only one. Bama has multiple BS claims. 1930 is yet another. This is one topic that no bama fan has any room to comment on.
And Bama could claim into the 20s.
