It was because he came into a terrible situation where almost any coach would have failed. The defense change was out of necessity because of personnel but his demise was almost specifically based upon a QB with mental intake problems.
Oh, that's tough... namecalling on the internet. Good grief. You can't answer a simple argument yet I am the dimwit? You can't discern the clear difference between knowing talent and being able to sign it yet that makes me dumb?I understand your a dimwit so why don't you go away.
He failed to evaluate the talent in Tennessee that is a known fact as several of the kids were receptive to Tennessee and he ignored them. Now go away.
I like this. Good stuff.Do you really not get it? Knowing that a player is a great talent is a far cry from being able to convince him to sign with you. Being able to evaluate talent DOES NOT MEAN that he was able to land those players in sufficient numbers. Do you understand now?
Let me say this way. I have no doubt that you know what the prettiest girl in school looks like... that does not mean you can get her to marry you. The fact that she won't marry you has no bearing on your ability to recognize beauty.

If you are blaming the last couple of years on Tyler bray you are ignorant. He is the only reason we won the games we did. The amount of points we scored against Florida, sc,Georgia, and Missouri was enough to win with an average defense. Bash a guy who throws for 350 yds a game while we had the worst d in school history. Smdh.
He walked into a terrible situation that even a much better coach would have struggled to make work.
He was not a great "coach" as in having the ability to directly take over a position or unit and make it great. He needed to be.
He lost the trust of his team... and then he lost hope himself. If reports are to be believed, he wanted out after UK. It is clear that he quit really doing the job no later than mid-season last season. I think he was resigned to his fate long before Hart was ready to fire him.
Basically, he took over a really bad situation and was completely overwhelmed and broken by it. In an ideal situation, he's probably not a great coach. In a bad situation, he was a complete and utter failure.
