Why Is Ferguson Really Gone? - Tennessee Sports Radio - Tennessee Sports Radio

"Butch gets it right? Would a guy that gets it put the future of the program in the hands of a guy that doesn’t appreciate what he has at the end of the day? I think not! Riley hated to watch film, was not a leader and felt like raw ability should get him the job every time…sound familiar? (Tyler Bray)

Mike Bajakian told me on Tuesday that it would be hard to ever put the ball in the hands of someone that you don’t trust. The “T” word is the single most important word in that QB meeting room and that is FACT!

Bottom line is that Riley did not want the pressure and responsibility of the position he was battling for. He wanted to be handed the job because he has more physical ability and no intangibles. THAT my Vol fan friends is a ‘no go’ every time in my VFL playbook. Riley left on his own accord and that is true."

I hope Ferguson finds what he is looking for and hope he becomes the player we all hoped he would be. Best of luck! GBO!

I also hope he becomes that player we all hoped he would be because he is a Vol - but I want him to do it outside of the SEC :)

Pretty poorly written by Ainge. Given the way in which the article was written, it could be argued that there is little fact presented and more butt hurt on Ainge's part - butt hurt that a QB he has touted on his show as the greatest of the bunch (talent wise) doesn't want to play at his beloved alma mater.

He never won anything or could even beat out Dobbs or Peterman to get on the field prior to his injury. Another head case in the making.

Don't let the doorknob hit you in the azz Riley.

Next in line, step up.....................

Yeah I can see him going to UNCC, East Carolina, or even Wake Forest to play ball next year. It won't be in the SEC and if don't get his mind right he won't start at either of those schools either.

Yeah, I hated all those touchdowns he threw. It was obnoxious

Bray was the best QB we have had since peyton/ tee . No one has put up as many yards will such a poor running game. He also was doing it with a defense that couldn't get the ball back. Show me another QB since Peyton with better numbers
