Too bad the idiot would not have been eligible.. He would have 100 percent quit on that team last year. Let's not forget he had NFL talent all over the field.. How is all that talent treating him these days?

he is cashing Kansas City Chief checks

It would have been nice having a Bray 2.0 last season.

Why?

Bray 1.0, with a lot better talent, went 5-7 his last year, no better than Worley/Dobbs. Why would Bray 2.0 be any better with far inferior talent around him?

Bray had a sh*tload of talent, but I've seen better heads on a mug of cheap beer.

Why Is Ferguson Really Gone? - Tennessee Sports Radio - Tennessee Sports Radio

"Butch gets it right? Would a guy that gets it put the future of the program in the hands of a guy that doesn’t appreciate what he has at the end of the day? I think not! Riley hated to watch film, was not a leader and felt like raw ability should get him the job every time…sound familiar? (Tyler Bray)

Mike Bajakian told me on Tuesday that it would be hard to ever put the ball in the hands of someone that you don’t trust. The “T” word is the single most important word in that QB meeting room and that is FACT!

Bottom line is that Riley did not want the pressure and responsibility of the position he was battling for. He wanted to be handed the job because he has more physical ability and no intangibles. THAT my Vol fan friends is a ‘no go’ every time in my VFL playbook. Riley left on his own accord and that is true."

source: TSR

If he didn't want to compete with team mates he sure as hell wouldn't compete well with our rivals. Some say RF's problem is inconsistency and interceptions. :dunno:

Whether Ainge's article is true or not, it's still very unprofessional and in bad taste. Nothing good can come of former Vols putting out negative press about players AFTER they leave the team.

I figure he left because reality sat in that he sucks. And the thought of going on the field and pulling a Peterman...which he obviously was neck and neck with....well maybe it scared him of ending up on....

It was inevitable that one or maybe more of these QB’s would leave. You have four and only two will get significant reps at some point this coming season. It was unrealistic to expect all to stay on the roster all four years; especially with more QB’s still coming in. I don’t care who plays, I just want better paly out of the position.

"Butch Jones has said, 'Playing QB at UT is a "Global Position" and Riley could never understand that.'"

does it bother anyone that ainge would write this? i doubt butch jones said that.

Butch Jones said this: "Playing QB at UT is a "global position"

Erik Ainge added this: "and Riley could never understand that".

The first is 100% Butchspeak. That sounds exactly like something he would say. The second is Ainge's opinion.

You mean the NFL talent that gave up 700+ yards to Troy and made him pass for 530 yards and 5 touchdowns to pull out a win

Let me get this straight.
Are you saying that the QBs we had last season were better than Bray?

It appears that Ainge dozed through the day in freshman English where they explained how to use quotation marks, single and double.

Then better paly we will have. I like good paly as much as the next guy.

Ainge played back in the old days. It probably wasn't him sitting in his freshman English class, if you get my drift.
