So far we have three coaches that were not on Cincinnati's staff and will likely add a fourth. Only way I'll be disappointed is if CBJ hires Weist as the WR coach.

"I can agree/disagree with a lot of the posts. Here's why. Sure hinshaw has a lot to offer. Has been successful in some areas and not in others. That's a given with anyone. I think by researching TJW history both coaching and recruiting has been very consistent. Anytime you are recruiting for a MAC or Big East school, you are limited on getting the elite talent. All that said, what would TJW's recruiting/coaching stats look like at a major program where he has better access to elite talent consistently? Would he stand to be more successful " stat " wise at UT than Hinshaw? Just asking'. "

Since when was a coach not allowed to put his own people in place.From all thats been coming out about DD staff being very marginal on recruiting if BJ doesn't really know the guy why would he keep him. He kept JG and tried for TM not much more you can ask.

Like it or not, Kiffin and co. have put together solid seasons whereas Jones has just joined UT. There's no reason he should leave what appears to be a solid job in Southern California for a rebuilding project that could easily collapse in Tennessee.

As for Hinshaw, he did do a great job with the receivers this year, and he is solid at recruiting. However, if he has a personality that clashes with Jones or possesses recruiting/coaching principles that aren't compatible with the system, keeping him could simply lead to further conflict and complication for a program that can't afford it.

Obviously I don't have any inside information. My guess is you didn't want Jones and are still frustrated that Gruden isn't coach, so anything that Butch does will work your nerves. If you want to hunt for reasons to be mad, be my guest; a more mature approach would be to take a more measured approach and give him a chance to succeed (or fail).
