I think if you want big change it must be in little steps to make sure you are goin in the wrong direction.

I just dont think we are being presented with good choices. I mean, it's overwhelming to think about it, and its taking place in the same year. The Dems shot themselves in the foot.

My issue is that their choices have NO substance about them. One makes promises to write checks he cant cash, and the other b!tches about the current admin. They are JV-4-life type choices. I wouldnt vote for either of em to be a dog catcher, much less POTUS.

this is the surefire way to meet with failure, especially in a government program setting. Radical and immediate change would be the only real way of getting something done.

you mean stop with the interventionism that has all but destroyed the system? that's just crazy talk. the poor would get screwed if we let capitalism sort out the mess. Only the elites would have decent care.

hmmmm...no way. The citizens of this country want the right to smoke, be obese, etc..all the while spending their lives buying Ipods and all other gadgets...and still want to be able to bitch as to why the government isn't taking care of the healthcare system.

I disagree. Competition would see to it that anyone (most) who wants it enough can get it. The dollar has a way of getting things done that no one else can. The more $ there is to make the more people will be in it to make it.
Free markets have a MUCH better record than the US or any other Government.

Very true. When I hear a person ask a politician the "What are you gonna do for me" question I always wanna just puke. One of the many reasons I would never get elected is my answer to that question if it were asked of me.

I just keep waiting for a newscaster with some stones to ask a high profile Obama supporter the one question that I think ever Obama supporter needs to ask themself, 'If Obama was white, would you vote for him?' It seems to me that a lot of people have bought into an Obama brand where they think it says something about themselves (progressive, open minded, non-racist) that they support Obama. His support only impresses me in the sense that he is obviously a good marketer.
