Cops finally declared the situation a civil disturbance.

Story is supposed to be that Antifa attacked him for helping a gay dude in a sun dress that Antifa was going after. Was he completely innocent prior to that..unknown. Should a mob have attacked him for helping the gay dude, still going to have to say no based on what is currently known.

Saw another picture of this guy before the attack. Looks like the proud boys were marching him up front. Not condoning the attack, but this is possibly a case of the Proud Boys looking to use him as a shield or a sympathetic victim.
