Just remember that if you are sitting on the front row for the game at BMS in September, 2016, you will still be a considerable distance from the field of play. Kind of like trying to watch a game through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars!
It's like an employer who has a great Christmas party--something nice to look forward to, but no one is going to work there just because of that.
LOL. No one has offered any rationale by which a coveted recruit would put any weight on this. Your standard 2 star in-state? Sure. But no one you need.
I'll say again. Fun for local fans? Sure. But after that it's meaningless.
Screw having the band at halftime. How about a few laps around the track? Put the ESPN crew riding shotgun in some cars. Or have CORSO ride up to make his prediction in a decked out Orange and White NASCAR, get out of the car wearing Smokey mascot.
Got my tickets and 50X binocs on order.
I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm honestly curious. I completely understand for Virginia Vols fans and those in the Tri Cities area, now the game is closer and more accessible. But from the universal acclaim the scheduling of this game has received, you'd think 100% of CFB fans were also NASCAR fans.
I've never watched or been to a NASCAR race so I'm assuming there is some sort of significance that is escaping me and I'm honestly wanting to know what that is, since everyone else seems to "get it.":hi:

I don't think any kid goes to UF or UGA just for a chance to play that game. And that's been going on since 1933.
Would you rather see the Vols play Austin P to a crowd of 85,000 in Neyland or go to Bristol and watch them play VT in front of the largest ever crowd to watch a CFB game?
