I just heard this as well from a (gasp!) Alabama donor I know. I think it's pretty legit

Just read a pretty damning article about how Dooley was (surprise, surprise) smug and arrogant and basically quit recruiting, or even never really tried to begin with.

Should I ignore that too and continue to praise him for even considering wearing orange?

You can obviously do whatever you want to do. Some move on. Some hang on.

And I've been around hs coaches in some form for 17 years. I know the game. I know the pr needed, and I know what they expect. Obviously he rubbed some the wrong way, but if you found out he was spending what limited recruiting time there is to try and appease coaches that send 1 d1 player out every couple of years, you would've complained about that as well.
Crap always comes out when coaches leave. Always. Much of it is inaccurate. Some is true. You believe what you want.
I've met a couple hundred butthurt hs coaches. A few more isn't a shock.

I'm ready to see where we are headed. Not one to rehash where we have been.
