Why is it taking so long to turn around?

4-4 is a bad year. He's won 4.4.4.4.4.4.4 sec games in 2.5 ears. I look at that and see we're on par with Vandy and UK. I didn't think like that until I saw our sec record. DD can't coach. He is a demotivator.

You're a demotivator

Analysts were saying in 2010 that 2011 would be even worse.

Really? Not too surprised! :)

We're at 3-2 with those two losses coming against some pretty good teams. I'm not thrilled with where we're at, but I'm excited that we still have seven weeks to prove something to the college football world.

What a gigantic waste of time that would be.
Reading 4166 weak attempts at trying to appear superior to other posters on a message board.

Hey Pot! Meet kettle!
What's that Pot?
So your saying he is black?
Well I would say that that's racist but you are also black.

Base on his career so far? Haha i bet MSU hates they Nick Saban get away. Look at his numbers before he went to LSU.

1995 Michigan State 6–5–1 4–3–1 5th L Independence
1996 Michigan State 6–6 5–3 5th L Sun
1997 Michigan State 7–5 4–4 6th L Aloha
1998 Michigan State 6–6 4–4 6th

Look a his performance at LSU. That is more comparable to Tennessee.

How many more threads are you going to post Saban's record @ Sparty in?

You do read 13 conference wins here right? You do know the next number I quote is 4 right. Your point is Saban was average in his first three. The reality is we haven't been average in Dooley's first three. Post Bob Stoops numbers in his first three at OU. And they sucked for a few years prior! Anyone can find support for their arguments.

There is really no argument that we should have beaten Oregon Florida LSU Bama or South Carolina 2010. Florida LSU Georgia Bama South Carolina or Arkansas in 2011. None at all. This year is the year to judge Dooley. And it is not over yet. We do have a chance to win games this year where in the last two years we really did not. That is progress people. And it is a slow process when all of the four main opponents on your yearly schedule are in the top 5 (this year).

Starting this year, compare Dooley's first three years with Saban's first three at MSU. Saban was not handed a hamstrung roster in the midst of the best conference when that conference was at it's best ever. Dooley was handed just that.

Not long ago we were starting walk ons at OL, converted FB at LB, Crompton and Sims at QB, Teague at CB...etc,etc, etc

Our depth is much better, but still just average in our conference.

Thread might be repetitive, but hey when people constantly ignore plain facts I guess they need to be repeated.

Not really.

I'm pretty sure no one on this board is 3, and needs to be spoon fed the I hate Doooley mantra morning noon and night. We get it kiddies.

Give it a rest. Your act is as old as Bedrock. gtfoi or go root for the Cocks. I'm sure you are all jealous over their new found success.

and improving...did you know La Tech is ranked #23 with Dooleys recruits ?

So its impossible for us to improve with CDD? Dude ask MSU who their head coach was in the late 90's and what his record was along with how many bowl games he won. You can not say its impossible. Hell he hasnt coached long enough.

The point of this thread and many others is not to learn "why" but to provide another place to spew venom against Dooley. It is going to take patience to get UT football to where it needs to be. Some people have no patience. It is a "give it to me NOW" mentality fed by 24 hour news and social media.

Well, there are 7 teams in the SEC East. 120 teams in the FBS. 3/7 (42.857%) of the SEC East teams are in the top 14 of the AP Top 25 (that would be 88th percentile of The FBS).

Stay with me...

So if Vols finish ahead of Vandy, KY, and Missouri, they would be 4th out of 7 in the East (not where I want us to be, but again, stay with me) and we would be just as much a part of the top half of the East as the bottom half.

So I am confused... What was your question?
ha ha great post

Big Difference .. He was 9-2 with Toledo, and 9-2 his last season at Michigan State . In 1998 he beat No. 1 ranked Ohio State 28–24 at Ohio Stadium. Dolley has never beat a ranked team much less a number 1 team at home, and Saban he proved he could win. we have yet to see that.

Were there 4 teams in the top 10 in the front half of the schedule every year? Hint, hell no. Was the roster & morale destroyed by a skinny little douche nozzle named Kiffin before he started coaching. Hell no.
