Why isn’t Heupel getting a chance to plead his case?

We are the best 2 loss team in the country…..and most outlets have us ranked ahead of Bama….yet here Saban is on national television getting the opportunity to plead his case for the college playoff.!?

Completely and utterly biased and it’s obvious they aren’t even hiding it anymore.
Because we aren’t. We are an anomaly. Excellent offense and historically bad defense. Plus, we wouldn’t beat Bama again, right now, if we tried. Believe it or not, and I don’t care what the CFP criteria says, we are not the same team that we were with Hendon behind center and everyone (but a ton of VOL fans) know it.

Maybe Heup is smarter than either Saban or pizzed off UT fans. Why publicly make a whining fool of yourself. Especially when you know the pumpkin guts for brains committee won't listen to anything resembling common sense.

Nick Saban is pathetic.

He manipulates the committee into thinking his team deserves to be in despite having a worse resume than Tennessee.

Can’t wait till he’s gone from football for good.

It may be a good thing we are not pleading right now. You have to admit we came down off our high after the UGA game with that SC loss. We don’t need to argue to get into the playoff because frankly we would get smoked by UGA again. UT in the Orange bowl is the more opportune game as we would be playing Clemson, a team in which if we beat directly helps us in recruiting. Also a team which has basically been the second best team in football the past 6-8 years. We beat Clemson, we could likely end the season as the number three team and be riding high going into next year.

Didn’t Bama actually finish as the 4th ranked team in the SEC standings?

He's the epitome of a Bama fan. They believe they are royalty. That midget would same the same thing if they had three losses.

Okay, I’m confused. Exactly what is the goal of the cfp committee?
1. Is it to pick the 4 best schools with the best overall resume where the first game of the season is as important as the last game of the season?
2. Or is it to select the 4 strongest teams at seasons end to be in the playoff?

It sounds like half the posters say it is #1 and half the posters say it’s #2.

Good chance Heupel isn’t out there pleading…. Like why isn’t he going Kiffin style on twitter? Why isn’t White out there?

There is zero chance the media would be quiet if Heupel and White lit up twitter about this but they are quiet.

It’s balancing the most deserving vs the best teams.

Michigan and Georgia clearly check both boxes. Since USC and TCU lost conference titles, they clearly don’t fall under most deserving. So now you have to weigh 5 teams against each other and figure out who the two best are for the final two spots.

What is he supposed to do? Tell the committee to please put UT in over Bama?

The midget has done this in the past. Yea totally unfair as they but up his past accomplishments and talking about point spreads as his stupid validation? Free mercedez benz for every committee member voting for my team. It is bunk. He is also the only head coach I know other than new Colorado coach to get an Aflac commercial. Guess got to keep that real.

It's always been Alabama and the rest of the NCAA. OK, they didn't and won't go undefeated this year. BOO-@#$&ING-HOO! They cannot stand playing second fiddle to anyone. Saban and his minions needs to stop crying an give 1st place to someone else for a year or two. It won't kill them. They are so spoiled to the point of obnoxiousness that I'm tired of it.

Nothing Saban says is getting Bama into the playoffs this year, it just isn't happening.

Repeat after me.....NO 2 loss team will be in the playoffs this year.

No one in their right mind thinks a Milton lead TN team is worthy of a playoff spot.
No one in their right mind thought that a Hendon Hooker led team would be CFP #1 and a front runner for Heisman until he was. Not saying we deserve a spot after the loss at the cockpit but Bryce hung 55 on vandy at home and Joe hung 56 in Nashville in the rain.
There is a reason you play the games and having to prepare for QB you don’t have a lot of tape on AND who has a full month+ to work on timing with the starters may yield a surprise.

why are media not pointing out to Saban who those last 3 were? Can't believe that's going unchecked. Imagine saying a 34-0 win over Austin Peay, a 6 point win over a not good Ole Miss team, and a win over a losing Auburn team with an interim coach, should get you in the top 4. Even for Saban, that's trash.

It's Bama and Saban,, all you need to know.

Not sure Heupel wants to go without hooker. It would be nice to say he at least made it in year two I guess.

In a few years, when Heupel has won multiple natties and become the face of college football the way Saban is, I promise that he'll be the one called on to plead UT's case. Until then, welcome to reality.

Another take on this >>> Saban knows that the game is catching up to Alabama and is looking at the future. Next Year. I think he believes that Alabama is going into a spiral and that next year because of NIL/Portal that he could lose 2, 3, 4 games easily.
For him to do what he is doing is Desperate. It is obvious he is Desperate because he knows the Glory days are fading fast.
Anybody that is a threat to him he pulls strings. The Jimbo event. He is losing it and this is his last ditch effort.
