Well, you're pumping sunshine right into an earlier grave so...
I guess all things considered, I'll at least have more time to critique the Vols.
Not even close. By looking for the silver lining it makes life that much better, I guess, I've never tried the gloom and doom.
How's it working out for those that choose to live that way? For all I know it's even better.
I like lemonade too.
While you're walking on egg shells, I'll be walking on sunshine having a blast in life.
Did you read why they suggest pessimist live longer? Walking scared of every little thing.
Go jump out a plane, for fun, seek some thrills. Don't be too scared to live. 100 years of misery, don't be the guy waiting for the end, be the guy living it up till the end.
Who's dreaming of better days? These are the good ole days.
2018 we gonna party like it's 1999.
Release the Beast!

Doesn't work like that. Its not what "they" say, its what they meant.
Its not what "you" meant, its what you said.
Lol, and they are the only ones that can change the rules.
Well, actually what the study said was...
"Our findings revealed that being overly optimistic in predicting a better future was associated with a greater risk of disability and death within the following decade," ..."Pessimism about the future may encourage people to live more carefully, taking health and safety precautions."
...but I guess to a person who see anything not overtly positive as negative, pragmatism would look like fear as well.
Yeah I read that part along with this too.
“Pessimism about the future may encourage people to live more carefully, taking health and safety precautions.”
Did you read all of what you linked or did you pick and choose?
I stand by my egg shell and sunshine points.
I'm not scared of life or death, I do want to live as long as possible, with the help of medical advancement I like my chances.
They've done figured out how to activate human cells to regenerate body parts.
Some of you "realist" will be too scared to allow them to help you live longer.
I don't wear my seat belt cause I'm scared of dying, I wear it so the "ding, ding, ding" will stop, now that I've been train like a dog, it's automatic(Thanks Dodge.). When Mrs. Iam4utalways drives, I put it on out of fear of dying(Just kidding, not).
This goes way beyond being a Vol Fan, this is about life choices and living a legacy of creating positive vibes.
I'm sorry, but that literally reads like cognitive diarrhea translated into written form. After reading it three times, I'm still not sure what the actual point of your response was other than to reiterate that you think that "taking precautions" is synonymous with "walking scared of every little thing".
So "realists" don't care for exaggerations when making points either.
You can try to act like you didn't catch my point but you summed it up pretty well.
Sounds like you plan on living a long miserable life, while I plan on living a long awesome life, see how my positive thinking applies to my longevity as well.
I've done quite well so far not trying to shoe horn everything into some 'Ricky Bobby'esque' worldview where everything is either positive or negative with nothing in between. I'm relatively confident that it will continue to work going forward.
Don't try to act like there is only in between either. There is plenty of negative just as there is plenty of positive.
Those that deny any of the three are the ones that you and I have to watch out for those are the truely delusional.
Just because I choose to be positive doesn't mean I deny the existence of the middle or negative.
When making a negative statement at least admit the negative nature of said comment or post.
I freely admit to being on the positive end of the spectrum by choice and effort. So when you drop a load of negativity, all I ask is for you to "own it" and stop trying to pass off your negativity as being "realistic" or gray or in between.
This all came from me posting something along the lines of.... If all you post is negative that make you negative.
From there I was being told I was gonna die an earlier death due to having a positive out look on life.
They were better in Step Brothers.
The cognitive dissonance that you have displayed in this thread alone concerning your concept of 'positive' and 'negative', is quite simply, astounding.
My bad I was asking you about the % of your posts that are negative. About 65%?
Whatever man, your conversations here along with the one with BV so that you are not interested in any conversation with someone that may have some middle ground. You can lay out all these drawn out "positive " post you want thinking it makes you appear to be taking some moral high road and anyone that disagress with it is negative and lives a miserable life. But you just make yourself appear foolish torward any view that most see as realistic at this point. To me, its gotten quite boring.
