meh.....A computer/AI is always only as good has the person programming it/ asking the question. So really it was my misunderstanding in regards. There was no champion in 2020.
#1 seeds won in 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24.
Never trust AI.![]()
I will say for anyone wanting to look on the bright side that out of the last 35 Championships the non-#1 seed has managed to win 11 times.meh.....A computer/AI is always only as good has the person programming it/ asking the question. So really it was my misunderstanding in regards.
I was just really guessing as why the difference to what you had, but I was also going off the specific question I typed into AI.
The difference was probably in the way I phrased the question.
I can't remember exactly the question I typed/ asked, but it must have been something to where AI took it as #1 seed more often than # 2 seed in last 10 years.
#2 seed had 1 win so you have 7-1, or a difference of 6 ( i.e 6 more wins out of the 10).
Incidentally, when you start looking back the last 35 years to 1990, it makes the fact we didn't get that #1 seed suck even more.
#1 Seeds have won it 24 times ( almost 70%),
and the ole # 2 seeds just 4 times (11 %).
That's even worse than I originally thought.
I really don't like the fact we lost that Ole Miss game.![]()
Snarky is as snarky does!! NBD, just hoping and wishing that Coach Barnes and team can make a deep run in the tourney. We've been in the Top 10 all season however, tourney time everyone starts at point Zero. Go VolsSorry, that probably came across as snarky and that wasn’t my intent. I’m seriously curious who you think would be better. I agree with you though that if anyone can find that person, I like our chances with Danny at the helm.
No - of course we are in the dance - that never has been in question. Getting past a second and third round should happen - but sorry if I have a bit of a Missouri "Show Me" attitude. Go VolsRight, but you say no chance of advancing the dance because he lost a regular season game on the road. You have to be crazy to want a coaching change.
I truly believe we will. I’ve said from the start of the year this team will at least match the run last year and I still believe it. We have a great chance to exceed it actually as we’re more efficient offensively and certainly my better at overcoming adversity within a game. We have wins over Auburn, Florida, Bama, Louisville, Illinois, Baylor, A&M and more. Out of those names I listed, only 2 were at home. Good teams beat other good teams at home. Great teams do it away from home.Snarky is as snarky does!! NBD, just hoping and wishing that Coach Barnes and team can make a deep run in the tourney. Got to stay out of foul trouble, too. They won't if they have a bunch of ball handling turnovers and problems getting the ball inbounded near the end of games like we saw against Auburn last week.
Five turnovers in the last 5:08 of the game. That won't do if you expect to advance very far against good teams.
They won the game from their making 25 of 27 free throw attempts. A rare performance for any team.
The coaches need to help them inbound the ball more easily with player spacing, etc. Something they can plan and practice days before the games.
Like your optimism Hutch. If we get to Elite 8, I will agree to keep Barnes another year.......I truly believe we will.
