Wilcox is considered multiple in his scheme and able to adapt to his personnel. That's why we saw more zone a cover 2 type defense his time here.

Jancek is more of a pursue and swarm guy who preaches turnovers. I expect the defense to be more aggressive than it was under Wilcox.

Whether that is good or bad depends on how much of the problem last year was a pure lack of speed in the secondary and how much was slow reaction time due to whatever the hell Sunseri was trying to coach them to do last season.

This defense can't possibly be worse than last year but there will be mistakes made.

Absolutely, mistakes are expected with a new coaching staff, new defensive scheme, and possibly some new defensive players, but the overall lack of defensive coaching last year was just awful. I would expect improvement that at least makes us look reasonable as an SEC team.

I liked Dooley as a person,but he WAS the most idiotic coach in my life. Just watch the last few minutes of the Mizzou game! Sorry,but I have to rate Kiffin above Dooley anyday. He DID beat SCar,Vandy,UK,and had bammer scared to death. Just 1 kicker away from beating the no1 team. I hate KIFFIN. HE IS A DBAG! BUT HE`D STOMP DOOLEY IN AN EQUAL CONTEST. I LIKE DOOLEY AS A PERSON! I wish he ha d succeeded,but he was a moron as a coach. A moron with integrity is still a moron. WATCH WHAT OUR MIGHTY VOLS DO THIS FALL! GO VOLS!

If you acknowledge the possibility that it may not happen, you are not 100% confident. 100% confidence means there is no circumstance where you can envision Tennessee ever losing. Given the last 5 or so years, if you were actually unable to envision a scenario where UT could lose a game that would make you f***ing insane.

CBJ reminds me so much of Bruce Pearl. Both came to UT from good programs to a possible top 5 program. I said possible..so don't roast. Both of these guys are both so charasmatic..the players and recruits love this. I don't think CBJ will have the problem's Pearl had and he is more of a family man than Pearl. I think we have a diamond in the rough.

Never thaught I would say this but with our young receivers and QB, (a long with a insanely hard schedule ) I'll be happy with 7-8 wins next year.

Same as every year, we're gonna win 10 games for whatever reason and all that jazz. When Fulmer was the coach I really believed we at least had a chance to win every game on the schedule. Now I look at the schedule and know where the definite losses are. We've fallen a long way and no matter who was hired it's gonna take awhile to even get back to being respectable much less at the top.

The combination of poor recruiting in Phil's final years, having Hamilton as the AD, Kitten's fiasco, the hiring of Dooley, and having folks like Susan Martin and booger guy make decisions that directly influence the hiring of quality coaches will do that to a program.
