He could win a couple of National Championships...Oh wait, he's already done that at Florida.

You never know he might, I think he tells notre dame that he would consider taking the job next year. That way if his boy toy Tebow gets drafted by the lions or rams he can be near him. if not i look for him to take a coaching job near his boylover.

Alot of Notre Dame fans think he will tarnish the university's reputation. Maybe they don't give it to him?

He'd also have his own TV Network..(I know people think ESPN is the Gator Network)..But I mean really, his own network, NBC.....He'd get to play USC and Michigan every year..He would have them back in the mix in a short period of time...In my opinion it wouldn't be a step up from what he has built at Florida though....I guess it depends on what money the Golden Domers would be willing to throw at him and of course, he would have to get momma's approval....

This puts you guys in quite a conundrum because if Urb leaves, UT can't get their due and proper revenge by finally beating him.

Unless ND is ready to pony up about a 10 year deal worth $50 million, I can't imagine him leaving Florida.

No, the Vols aren't like UF and not play anybody out of conference...They will play Notre Dame again....

Ever noticed the game at the end of Florida's schedule every year?
You talking about Florida State ???...Yeah...Not a very impressive ending to season right now....I know you won't defend Florida's out-of-conference to UT's ???..Wouldn't be very "Guru"-like...

Just pointing out that having FSU at the end of the schedule every year has been a big time out of conference game up until the past few years. Yeah, Florida tends to play a patsy or two every year, but they are never going to schedule OOC road games when they play FSU every year and go to Jacksonville every year to play UGA.

P.S. - I'm not a Guru.

Tennessee played Western Kentucky, Ohio, and Memphis, and UCLA out of conference. UF played Charleston Southern, Troy, FIU, and Florida St. Pretty comparable I would say. I could certainly make the argument that Notre Dame hasn't been much better than FSU lately.

Who other than Miami or FSU does UF play???

Tennessee will play Oregon,Ohio State,Nebraska,Oklahoma among others in the near future....Have played Cal,ND and many others in the past...Will UF play those programs home and home ??...Doubtful...

Yeah...I was about to edit that...Sorry.."Moderator"-like...

I understand the FSU and Georgia thing..Got that...They won't play other big-time programs though...I'm just asking here...Who HAVE they played, in the regular season, other than FSU and Miami ??....

UF is 27-5 the past 4 years in the best conference in the nation. They have beaten undefeated Ohio St and Oklahoma in bowl games as well as an undefeated Alabama in the SEC championship game. They are 14-1 against their biggest rivals (Tennessee, Georgia, and FSU). They have beaten the undefeated big teams when the needed to-at the end of the season.

Florida can just win the SEC, and beat the mindless crap out of FCS opponents and get a BCS invite yearly. No need for tougher competition. They play FSU and occasionaly Miami. Those are 2 of the top 10 programs of all time? Why isn't that considered equal if not better "schedule games" than Oregon and Cal? I know they might not be so great this year, but FSU is still a top program, with one of the greatest coaches of all time, with speed and ACC Talent.

My friend at ND is also a Florida fan. He claims no matter what CUM will get 10 years, 50 mil. Basicly the same thing Saban has at bama, with complete program control. I think if he does, it will be horrible for both parties. Urban won't have speed, and won't have a surrounding coaching staff. He would be able to recruit, but not nearly as great as he is at Florida now. At least for the first few years. Then you would have passed up on some great young, energetic coaches that are cheap and could turn the program around fast. Kelly(Cinci)/Malzahn/Peterson/Kelly(oregon)

I'm not a Guru, either, but I'll say that Florida playing FSU every year is just as strong as UT rotating through a string of name opponents. One real OOC game each year is plenty to bring in TV revenues, keep season ticket holders happy, and avoid the Auburn patsy schedule conversation.

As bad as I hate them, there is no getting around the fact that Florida's schedule is as strong as anybody's in the country, year in and year out.

Really great to see the defending national champs playing D-2 schools.

I think a lot of ND fans and alum are afraid that CUM would sully their programs reputation. ie, the Pope hates Urban.
