The receivers catch the throws that were in their hands and the same happens. Several throws on target that were dropped, several open receivers that were missed in the first half. As someone posted earlier, the game seems to be slowing back down for Nico. Sampson is a beast.

Here is a radical thought. Let's try at least one thread praising one player's performance without denigrating another! I really do not understand why certain posters can't do that. Did Will Brooks show up and show out? ABSOLUTELY. How about leaving it at that. I detest NIL as it is, but that is not Nico's fault. If you had the chance to make that kind of money he is to play a sport that it is obvious he loves, would you honestly not take it. Should he be held to high standards as a QB at The University of Tennessee, absolutely! Not because he is making X amount of money, but because he is the face of the Offense. If you can't separate the player from the "paycheck", then you might as well just stop watching football because it is only going to get worse.

People are trying to turn Nico in JG part two and it’s ridiculous because neither of them deserve the hate. The dude is a freshman and just went out there in back to back weeks and beat the two biggest rivals we have. Leave the kid alone. Nico is doing a great job, he’s learning and getting better as he goes, as evidenced by his performance. Connected on some PIVOTAL throws last night.

Of his 13 incompletions I would say half were well thrown balls that were drops. About 3 were over throws.

His 27 yard run down to the 9 helped greatly in establishing the tone in the second half. Brooks played great and ended things early, but Bama had a tall task ahead of it even if he hadn't intercepted that pass. Super happy for every player on the team.
