I think if Tennessee isn't in the NCAA Tournament during the 2013-2014 season CM will have a very hot seat going into 2014-2015. No Tournament 2014-2015 season, new Coach in 2015-2016 season

Yes, unless he has a Wade Houston type meltdown. This administration is not looking for a big time result so long as we are respectable and don't lose a lot of money.

If we miss the tournament in the 2013-2014 season I think he will be fired before 2014-2015 season.

The question really is this "If Tennessee makes the tournament in 2013-2014 but misses 2014-2015 will he be fired anyway?"

For what its worth, I think we make the tournament in 2013-2014. Anything after that weighs heavily on recruiting. Cornish is a good start but the jury is clearly still out on that subject.

For what its worth I thought we were a tourney team this year, unfortunately the NCAA selection comittee and the seeming majority of UT fans disagreed. The point is worthless at this time but I am going to say it anyway; in my opinion had Ole Miss not won the SEC tournament we would have been dancing this past season. This clearly is my biased and uninformed personal opinion, but is my opinion none the less.

missing the tournament is not respectable. if he goes 1 for 4 on NCAA tourneys, he should be gone. if he makes the next two, he absolutely should stay.

I'm not talking about a fan's perspective but the UT administration. Believe it or not they are not committed to winning big time if we as OK and they isn't a stink in the program.

My guess is we go dancing this year, Hart gives him a raise and an extension after the year. Assuming we don't have a massive meltdown in 2014-2015 (finish below .500), he will be retained for the 2015-2016 season.

Zo's future at Tennessee will be pretty clear by February of 2014. If Tennessee is well on there way to the dance, and sitting on a top 20 class, the future plans will have Martin in it.

He is not a good enough coach nor a motivator to win big at Tennessee.

This season, we should win alot of games. We have experience. We have Maymon & Stokes. We have some good incoming freshmen who can contribute early but by tournament time, they will be able to contribute.

My money is on him not coaching us to much of an improvement.

Then in 2014, when Maymon & Stokes are gone, then our talent level will not be good enough for us to win.

2013 is the best opportunity for him to produce a winner and make a tournament run but I just don't see it from his coaching.....

Hell, we have lost to Austin Peay & M.T.S.U. and also Coastal Carolina while he has been the coach. So, I have little faith in his coaching abilities.

Too many people don't realize this. I honestly believe (and no this doesn't mean I agree) that Hart would be fine with the basketball program being about what it's been the last 2 years. Rank top 10 in attendance, still make money (last year was most profitable in UTBB history), and be close to making the dance. I'd say Hart is fine with TNBB making the dance 2 out if 4 years if they're close the other 2 as well.

Hard to take a post seriously when the poster is making things up.

If this is the case we need to seriously consider not only keeping CCM or not, but Hart as well. I knew we would return to mediocrity.

A similar question was brought up on the SportSource tv show a few weeks ago. I tend to think most on the show are idiots, but do like Strange's and Hyme's opinion on things (the rest not so much). Everyone on the show tend to believe that CCM tenure here will not be a long one. If he doesn't make the dance this year going into rebuilding, then more than likely he will be released. If he has a successful year this coming year and his stock starts to rise, then surprising all think he will be gone. It was also mentioned (I think by Pennington) that even with a very successful upcoming season, most fans would not be dissappointed in CCM leaving for another program.

My bad! We lost to (College of Charleston) not Coastal Carolina.

My point is that we still lost to teams that we should have beaten. M.T.S.U., Austin Peay & College of Charleston...

And Pearl lost to Indianapolis and Oakland. He lost plenty of games he was not supposed to.

No. Bbbbrrrruuuucccceeee will be back by then. Cuz Bruce Bruce is my homeboy!!!!!

Yes. Bruce will refill the money vaults and Cuonz will have enough cash to hire an assistant that can actually teach the sport.

With Maymon back and and Hubbs coming in and Stokes staying, if we don't make the NCAA Tournament he should be fired.

the last two years we've come out of the gate slow. I don't follow basketball too closely, but it seems like we go into the second half of the season in desperation mode, because we dug a hole in the first half of the season.

I understand last season was because CCM thought Maymon might return, but if the slow start happens this year is that a sign that we have a coaching problem?
