All posters that think Zo will be gone after next season now have an opportunity to revise their posts. RE: Antonio Barton. Experienced PG from a quality team taking over with our roster already being strong at every other position on the court.

Have to admit.
Talent can be an equalizer when coaching is suspect.
Ask Cal.

I agree 100%, but to say elite 8 or your gone is absurd. If he makes the dance he's back, end of story. If he's a poor coach then hopefully he becomes a great recruiter to compensate for it.

Now, I do think next years team should be very good, but I won't say elite 8 or sweet 16 even or you're gone, too many variables. If they win 25 games, finish top 3 in the SEC, get a 5 seed but lose a tough one in the 12/5 matchup I won't call for his head. On the flip side, they struggle, win 20 games and sneak in and get bounced early, I will be very critical.

Bottom line is Martin has done nothing to make you think he can get the job done. Until he does then you have to assume his tenure will be short term not long term.

Doing things like 3-0 vs Florida, 3-1 vs Vandy, crushing Ky and beating mizz when we had to... Those are things that show the potential is there.

On the other hand, he's had some bad losses.

I want to see what he does with a really good roster.

People that act like he hasn't shown potential are simply haters. He's not some hack coach, hate to break it to ya.

Hate to be the one to break it to you but that is exactly what Martin has been.

0 NCAA Tourneys says it all,you can't spin that stat nor can you justify it.

I wouldn't call for his head either if he didn't go to the e8.
However I think that this is a better team than the other guy(hate to start another debate) took to same.
If he can get some consistency and cohesiveness, the sky's the limit with these guys.
Big ifs, but the talent is there for him.

He has to come up with a good recruiting calls in 2014 and has one player already. I think he needs to add Cofer, Lindsey, Demery, or Lyle kinda long shot or that transfer from David Lipscomb and we'll be fine. I am expecting a class of five in 2014 cause we lose Stokes, Maymon, McRae, Barton, and Edwards.

There's no doubt the talent is there, can probably be argued talent+experience may be elite 8 level, but march madness is called madness for a reason. A lot of good teams and coaches have been upset early, that's why I'm not gonna say he's gotta do this or that in the tourney.

To me it'll show more what they do through the season and what seed they get in the madness. Like I said, top 25 all year, 25 wins and a 5 seed in the dance and I think that's a pretty good sign.

What you fail to see is I hope we win the National Championship this year with Martin as coach and he is rewarded with a lifetime contract. This isn't about wishing he fails my thoughts are solely based on his results. To me he has been a disappointment and like Dooley a major reach when hired and he hasn't done anything to change my opinion. That is all I ever said. I hope he is here for ever because he is so successful he just hasn't done it yet.

Cornish is in. Cofer and Lyle are a good possibility and would be a good start.
Add 2 bigs and you've got a class.

2014 is obviously a very important class...Cornish is a great start. I'd say Cofer is a good possibility. Add in any 3 of the guys you named and you've got a great class.

I have faith that Martin will still be here in the 2015-2016 season after Tennessee posts back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances. This is Martin's year to shine.
