First off...i am not saying i wish for Fergy to start, but woud love to see him or Dobbs in the 4th quarter for mopup duty. Peterman did not show that he is even backup material..no sense in keeping him 2nd string....no one could have done any worse than he did against UF....Worely however, showed a lot of progression and if he continues to improve he could be very servceabe by the UGA game...however, i would like o see one of the freshman play and become at least the backup unless they look all world of course.

If we get up by a pretty good margin, i would think he would see some time in case we need him next week.

Yes, one of them needs to play some. And i agree about Peterman he looks like he shouldn't even be the backup, and now because of his thumb injury he can't be. But out of necessity I definitely say yes, one of them needs to get some snaps. And it will probably be Feeguson. I just hope there is some mop up time for that to happen.

Makes sense. If Peterman broke his thumb, we need a backup and it looks like they want to RS Dobbs...

Ferguson will see the field.

He will go in and play against S. Alabama's mop-up duty.

Then everyone will talk about how awesome he played against the 3rd stringers from a low-tier team that had 2 wins last year.

Then everyone will want him to start.

it's a little scary to think about but South Alabama is much improved from last year. They beat Western Kentucky this year. And I know we drilled them, however without all the turnovers I think we win that game by less than 21 points. But turnovers seems to be a common theme from this years defense so far, so I'll take it. But like I said I just hope there is mop up time in this game for him to get some meaningful snaps, and if he does well I will be pretty optimistic as South Alabama is much improved from last year it seems.

No.

If last week (9/21) taught us anything, we need live action work. Let this awful run game get going. The Oline and RBs need a fire under them. Also Worley needs the most live action work with recievers possible. Open up some passing game and lets get the QB and WRs on the same page.

You people turn on your own with such eagerness, it's like being a Reaper-Zombie-cannibal hybrid. The man went up against a rabid defense in an extremely noisy and hostile environment. You can talk all you want about how loud Oregon's stadium is but places like Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Alabama are where it's at. One game and after you same people talking about how Peterman looked better than Worley in Eugene, one game he gets rattled and you want to bury him without a funeral. Now here you all are doing the Ferguson frug to the whines you think is music.

UT has played probably 2 of the top 7 defenses the last 2 weeks. Most any unseasoned QB will struggle. In rewatching parts of the game, there were some good throws that were dropped. If there is a bright side, Worley did look slightly better than the week before.

Peterman could not get the ball moving downfield. Worley played in the same environment and while yes, he threw 2 pics as well, he at least moved the ball up and down the field.

Can someone please explain to me why this seems to be such an accomplishment?

And lets not forget Peteran also looked like crap against Austin Peay of all opponents....Peterman is not the QB of the future...that is Ferguson or Dobbs most likely...Worely should at least be decent if he continues to progress like he has.

When (IF) we get up big, then yes, I would think we see Fergurson

Edit: Assuming Peterman is hurt and can't play

????????????????, uh, fade, what does your response have to do with my post. I do believe I was reacting to some folks calling for Ferguson to be QB while neutering Peterman. Same folks who were howling for Peterman cause Worley was so bad, they said. My post was an admonishment about being so quick to turn against Vols players. The Ferguson call in my view was the latest indication. So not sure what the heck you're saying in relation to that in your post.
