Tonight was the first time I’ve been able to make time to look at the forecast during Saturday’s game.
It appears it will rain all day, including game time Vs Mizz. Will that slow down Hooker and Co?

A wet field usually slows down the wide receivers and Manning used to say he wasn’t fond of throwing a wet ball. Siap - if so, mods can merge.

Thoughts! Go Vols!

I was wondering the same ? It seems the rain would hurt running the speed-up offense. You don't have a chance to exchange for a dry ball.

Well, if it does then we can credit Mizzou for shutting down our offense, since so many on here credit Tennessee for shutting down Georgia in the second half. Or does that logic only apply when we want it to?

Tennessee shut down Georgia’s offense in the 2nd half. What’s your point? Also, this thread was regarding Missouri. Again, what’s your point?

Will it be raining on Mizz. Too?

Missouri has a very good defense too. If we score a lot it will be extremely impressive given that it's going to be cold, rainy and windy. I wouldn't be surprised to see us in the 28 to 35 range.

Well if it does hopefully we can get the same excuses as Ohio St got against northwestern and it don’t effect our ranking.

That’s the first thing that crossed my mind. But TN won’t get the benefit of the doubt, esp with one loss. The media would say that TN caught lightning in the bottle and Hooker is coming back to reality.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but think GA whipped us. Regardless of the score, GA moved the ball at will and had the ball 9 min in 3rd qtr. It was a butt whipping. And I love my Vols!

me too, and I've been mocked for it. People keep saying we shut them down in the second half, when they clearly took the foot off the gas, partly due to rain I'm sure. People say that's speculation on my part and the score tells the story, but I think they dominated us. So, those people must be consistent and credit Mizzou if the rain slows UT down.

sure they did, bro. Sure they did. The point, since you need help here, is that if the rain slows UT's offense down then we can say Mizzou shut them down, since people like you carry that narrative for Ut against UGA.

Rain, wind and falling temps will certainly make it difficult for both sides of the ball. My main concern is how it may affect throwing the deep ball.

HH may be working out under the sprinklers tonight and tomorrow.

MO is 19th in run defense and 26th in passing yards allowed.

So if Tenn scores 50+ on Mizz then you will be back on here saying you were wrong and Tenn actually shut down GA in the second half not the rain. Or no. Go troll somewhere else

Kirby tried his best to score. A foolish reply to this. Watch the game over. I did and it changed my opinion At first I thought the same way you did but after watching I saw it was more competitive than people give credit for. The rain not only affected Georgia but Tennessee. Georgia did outplay Tennessee Saturday but it wasn't a dominant performance.
