Will the real Trayvon Martin please stand up?

so was mine. You say you couldn't get bail for 1st degree murder but this has never been presented as 1st degree. If you don't believe it is then your reply was nonsense

I meant I would get 1st Degree murder for killing the person who shot my son. There is no bail for 1st Degree murder in most all cases I am familiar with. So I would not get bail. Thus I would be typing from the pen instead of the kitchen.

But Token is too rich to be walking to the store by himself at night.

Good point.

It'd be funny if the theme was the media and people making it white vs black the whole time, and the shooter only being concerned with the fact that people are calling him "white".

Dude, for real, you're losing all credibility. You speak like you were not only there to witness it, but that you can see into the mind of Zimmerman.

This credibilty you speak of, how does it affect me? Can it be used for food? For shelter? In lieu of US Currency? Now that it is gone, will I even miss it? How so? Do tell. -- I was not there of course. I can't see into his mind either. I do get the sense based on what I know from his past that Z was heading for something like what happened here in this 'case'. He shows all the signs of wanting to be a cop except he was too fat and out of shape and lazy to actually be one. Instead he just bought a gun and set out to defend his neighborhood on his own. Killed some kid in the process. That is my opinion anyway, and I am entitled to it. You and others are entitled to yall's as well. And everyones '"e-cred" is still intact in my book however much mine has been minused. Maybe y'all can use it for some greater good. Didn't do me no good anyway.

Now if you were to really pare this down to linking it with facts and keep any sensational falderal out of it that's the sort of thing a prosecution might bring up. Exactly how far it'd go would be hugely impacted by other evidence of course but it's not hard to see that being the view pushed.

Stretching post is stretching.

Bottom line Trayvon would be alive if Zimmerman would have stayed away.

Also can anyone explain where it says in the 'stand your ground' law, at what point are you allowed to actually follow anyone?

From Trayvons point of view, he had every right to defend himself if he felt he was being followed, which Zimmerman admitted to. Then we have the alleged confrontation that Zimmerman tells, but sadly we can't get Martins side of the story

That is why I feel this is a murder. If the kid approached the man in his car or his yard, then this would a self defense case. But if you track someone down and confront them, thereby getting your ass kicked in the process, you can not kill that person. Period. Take the ass whipping that you sought out and quit running up on people like you are the ****ing police.

I'm going to ask a very loaded question.

you see a black guy walking around late at night in a neighborhood where you know evryone and you (not you personally) automatically assume that the black person might be up to no good.

is that a stereotype or is it a logical thought process based on criminal statistics?

I don't think most people would see the color of his skin. They would see that there is an unknown person wondering aimlessly in a tight-knit community. That is logical. Not prejudice or stereotyping.

His testimony, which is supposedly being corroborated by witnesses is that he had stopped following Martin, and Martin had decided to approach him, and without warning popped Zimmerman in the face and started wailing on him.

Too bad there's a lot of people out there who refuse to understand this

Lot of holes in this whole case. Hopefully they will fill them in during the court proceedings. Reguardless, the kids past or his problems in school and such, shouldnt sentence him to being shot in the chest. My question is why Zimmerman was following this kid at a running pace? Doesnt sound like he was defending his ground or was defending himself. I guess I am supposed to believe that Zimmerman was chasing the kid, stopped, started to go back, and this kid who was being chased with a firearm decided to go back unarmed and attack the guy..................just too many things wrong with this whole scenerio to really make a conclusion before all the facts are heard.

I have seen many that are quite pleased that Z is not incarcerated. Many. Many also believe and have posted that the kid walked up on "the wrong" guy. Many have said that this is not a murder. It is. The kid got shot in the chest. He did not have to be shot. There is your evidence. He did nothing to be stalked and murdered. This punk has been wanting to do this and he finally acted on it. And he looks to be getting away with it too. **** him.

I hope you never make it onto my (or anyone I care about) jury. There is a little thing the Supreme Court adopted from English Common Law which reads:

'"The law presumes that persons charged with crime are innocent until they are proven by competent evidence to be guilty"

Sadly, on message boards when posters get to hide behind keyboards, the opposite is exercised.
