Will Trump choose to not run in 2020

I'm one of '72's biggest fans, even after he cut off communication with me. (It was actually kind of fun responding to his posts knowing that he wouldn't allow himself to respond to mine.)
He's the classic example of a really good guy who has lived a really good life but just can't come to terms with the changing world.......and it drives them nuts.
People should just say "I'm taking a break" when they've had enough. The one's most likely to say they are leaving for good are also the ones that have to much silly human pride to come back even after they calm down and would love to return.

I'm fairly fiscally conservative but left of center on social issues so I have a strong independent streak when voting.

Of course, in this thread that means both sides cant stand me....
Just publicly announce you hate Trump.......that's my only litmus test.

There's many fiscally conservative / socially liberal posters. And most get labeled as a socialist/communist/liberal eventually. I remember people being really upset with my stance on Trump's ridiculous border wall. And just about everyone, except a handful of super intelligent people, don't like it when I post about cutting all federal spending including the military and welfare.

Everything you post is an opinion

It's my opinion that Forbes and Bloomberg estimate that Trump is worth billions? That the highest federal estate and gift tax in 1999 was 55%? That Trump became president of his father's company in 1971? That he transformed his business from real estate to branding and licensing? That half a dozen bankruptcies is an excellent batting average when creating a hundred or more corporations? That you can't respond without taking personal shots? Alrighty then.

Not sure what you're talking about as far as personal shots. you've taken them too. I did post that he's been successful in some ventures and I'm not disputing the claims above.

That works. May even be a little better than hating him.

Although 17-19 was a sideshow, I was considering voting for Trump at the beginning of 2020 if the Dems went too far left.

Then 2020 happened. Trump created division when the company needed leadership and I can stomach a flawed candidate in Biden when compared to the alternative.

A ridiculous border wall or an investment in physical barrier infrastructure that will have a quick payback from savings generated by less reliance on human patrols? Or is it ridiculous that we don't allow anybody and everybody to enter the country without proper vetting?

It's the way the great salesman "sold" the wall that doomed it....ironic.

It's ridiculous that a country which , at the time was 21T in debt (now it is 26T), would consider spending money we don't have on a physical barrier which would only slow people down (at best). Reform inside the country is cheaper and more effective but less politically expedient.

Do you think the never-Trumps are honest on the average about him?
Do you think the always-Trumps are?
Never Trumpers as someone with the intelligence to not vote for him? Yes.
Always-Trumps as someone always defending his words and actions? I hope not. TGO couldn't take someone calling Trump a quitter.

To no one's surprise, I think the never-Trumpers are much more honest in their assessment.
And for me at least, it has little to do with his policies, and everything to do with his methods and motivators.

I think there are intelligent posters for the most part on both sides here. I will respect actual debate points from those who disagree with me. There are only about 4-5 posters who ridiculously post the same thing over and over calling everyone racist or making every single thing about Trump that gets annoying. I didn’t even vote for Trump and I’ve been called a trumper so many times lol

You're in another league as far as taking personal shots. And there's a big difference between taking personal shots and pointing out stupid comments made by certain posters that highlight their own shortcomings.

2020 is a strange year. There's only one poster (who comes around infrequently) I can do without. I guess VolStrom is upset 72 dipped. But that was 72's decision. I don't have the power to run anyone off. I thought everyone liked my sanctimony.
Is that poster bnhunt lol

I have difficulty deciphering when yall are trolling or sincerely believe the stuff you post. There are things I don't like about his policies and things I do like. Also, there are things I don't like about him as a person and things that don't matter to me.

I didn't vote for him, either. Won't vote for him this go round.

There are many who are unhinged in their support and in their derision of the man.
