Windy's football discussion thread.

Why cant we have just one thread w/o resorting to bashing JG. Its a damn shame, poor kid gives his all for UT, he's tough as nails.
I mean come on he has the best completion percentage for passes thrown for less than 3 yds, while backstepping.
I don't care what nobody says, some of those guys, and I can name at least 3, are full of crap when they act like I'm crazy for saying I don't believe them when they say they hope they're wrong about him.

They maybe UT fans, but they're bigger fans of "ME".

Students will come to campus, party like it's 1999, contract and spread covid-19, spawning multiple quarantines. Still, UT will try to continue for those not infected. The 25% allowed in the stadium for the home opener will include a faction of students. They will not abide by the rules. They will mass near the field, twirl their masks like rally rags, beckon players to jump into their midst, and possibly dash out onto the field. It will prove a nationally televised embarrassment to UT. Some who attend will test positive for covid-19. The no win scenario will live like a cantelope-sized boil on Dr. Pimplepopper.

Students will not be allotted tickets to the next home game. This will cause consternation among students, alumni, and fans. Sportscasters will opine about the lack of students ad infinitum. Tennessee's embarrassment will continue.

The Chancellor will publicly announce a fresh lottery for the third home game. She will assure all that the students will abide by the rules or be removed. This group of students will "behave" until the game is well underway. They will then mass near the field, twirl their masks like rally rags, and beckon players to jump into their midst. Sportscasters will chew on Tennessee's conundrum & embarrassment, opine that students will be students, one or two may even express doubts as to covid-19's virility and the threat it poses. Hopefully, that idiocy will grab public attention, providing some cover for Tennessee's embarrassment over the student attendance/behavior fiasco.

Then, some talking heads will report on the Volunteers' overall health, quality of play, team unity, and fierce pursuit of victory through to the final second, whether they're ahead or behind. The focus will be on Vols football, where it belongs.
Aren't you a ray of ****ing sunshine on Friday.

But did I mention that I don't think JG will do any better this year, but I hope he does? Really, I hope I'm wrong. I hope I get to eat crow, but I know I won't.
You are wrong, he will do better... There now, that needed to be said.😏 And if I were going to have to eat crow I'd eat it while it was hot, it'll go down better...😁

I read it. Not sure why just Tennessee would experience those issues. Are we the only SEC school allowing for fan attendance - I honestly have not paid attention to that?

Most of them have said they are shooting for 20-25% capacity. My husband showed me a chart I think GA tech was going to use having people spread out. But like Tin said, what would prevent any student or fan just moving from assigned spaced out seats to being together and causing issue. Those kinds of idiots will potentially ruin things.

I'm making a grilled cheese what Behr would claim is not a grilled cheese...it's called the pig mac and cheese grilled cheese or the mushroom gruyere grilled cheese.

It's just so much more than a grilled cheese. I would pay $10 for the mushroom one as is right now. No side, pickle spear or drink. Just the sammich.
