I would start BM and get him ready this week and if he was playing bad then Shrout but I think BM would do fine and let him role against Bama JG can grad transfer next year and try but he has gotten more chances than Peterman and he started games in the NFL.Hopefully, one at least.
Should we even be worried about KY? I assumed that one was chalk.
I only coached middle school so I don’t know much. What I do know is you go to war with what you have and sometimes the best you have isn’t very good.
But you’re right. It’s up to them to figure it out.
I remember in 1994 riding the shuttle back to the car at the civic colosseum listening to a LOT of the "experts" talking about how Peyton was only playing bc of his name and how Branndon Stewart was the superior QB. Those people purported to know more than David Cutcliffe. Wife says to this day she could hear me grinding my teeth I was so aggravated at them. I don't remember doing that. But I have always believed the coaches make the best decisions based on what they see in practice.Hell if we're being honest Peyton Manning came off the bench as a third string guy. How crazy is that.
dude I couldn't sleep last night. I think football is not good for my health!Yea and that's what I meant earlier. No doubt JG is the best choice to lead us into the battle. I don't feel like our complete battle plan is as good as it should be with the Generals we have planning them. I'm don't mean it as FF type whining, I'm genuinely interested, confused, frustrated and excited all rolled up together. I guess they call that being a fanatic. ?? Lulz.
At least it can be discussed here in a civil manner. And that's all this is ... discussion.
Shrout is a redshirt SO has great arm strength and BM is a sophomore and experience and quicker than JG . I would get BM prepared and start him against Kentucky. I f good then he plays **** then we see. Unfortunately for JG BM our Shrout could play better and next year BH could truly compete to start. If Pruitt don't the QB position is going to be his downfall. We missed on 2 elite QBs 2 years in a row. We had to take the 2 backups. Or not have QBs. We landed a 5* guy last year. The 2 sophomores just are not top SEC talent. JG is the best we have.
That’s why.
some clown in the Henry T says thread is really ripping BaileyI feel like picking the QB to play is probably the hardest decision of a coach. No matter who you play half the fans will think it's the wrong person and you're an idiot. I'm not defending JG at all. He isn't our answer. He's basically a temporary thing. I think HB will be our solution and I hope he can play soon but I also know that putting him in at QB in Athens against an NFL defense would've been stupid.
He can't think fast the poor kid gets rattled and I hate talking about Vols but BM don't get rattled and I haven't seen the other 2 But Shrout can throw and BH is a winner in big time football I just haven't seen him.I don't question him having emotion or heart for the game, it's just why year after year is it the same product?
I think they are just going with seniority.Chaney is a great OC and if he is saying JG is the best option, i gotta trust him. And if Pruitt disagreed, i think we would know about it. I’m not privy to practices, but its obvious that the staff has no faith in Shrout or BM. Tells me all i need to know.
