This pettiness and desire to put the program down was what gave his teams the edge back then. They played to dominate. Because that's what he wanted. As evidence of teams playing up to the coach's emotional state, look no further than UT playing on fire (defense) against OK...because it meant so much to Heupel.

Also if you’re gonna hound and pick apart my every comment, you might wanna read every comment. I’ve already stated that I say dumb things in the game threads. And I’ve also said that I believe in this teams after the bama game and that I won’t say one more negative word about this team this year.

Me too, but they wasn't given an opportunity, they just took the initiative. They were given the opportunity later and f'd that up too. I want all the instant replay chit gone with refs being actually employed and paid properly to perfect their craft vs. being part time weather guys and part time refs.

you can pay them more than Nico and they still are going to only get marginally better at best if only making decisions in real time. The idea paying them will improve things is hilarious to me.

Heck, I'm worse than you 😆. There's certain games I get into. I hate losing, but especially to certain teams. If we're not doing good, saying that isn't negative to me, it's just fact. No different than me saying boom if we do something good. Thankfully Florida and bama worked out, hopefully we play our best game against Georgia. If not, I'll likely whine again 😆
