Windy's football discussion thread.

I think they’ll duck PSU Indy.

Im 50/50 on PSU 6 and ND 7.

My gut is the committee wont ding Texas and PSU for losing but will ding SMU....

It will be ignoring head to head (22), undefeated FSU (23), and selective CG impacts (24) for the third Bama only precedent changer...

Working from the previous CFP committee rankings, move the top four ranked conference champions to the second tier - Oregon, Georgia, BSU, ASU, add Clemson to the 12th slot. That leaves Texas, PSU, ND, tOSU, Tennessee, SMU, and Indiana. Assuming the declarations that CCG losers will not be penalized and the relative position of CCG non-participants will not change are true, then Texas, PSU, ND, and tOSU will host. Likely pairings are Clemson at Texas, Indiana at PSU, SMU at ND, and Tennessee at tOSU. Now, PSU and Indiana didn’t meet during the regular season, so there’s no reason to shuffle SMU to slot against PSU…

Yeah, I’ll wait till this afternoon when the committee announces its “invitations.”

Penn State and Texas both have zero wins vs top teams. Zero wins vs teams in playoff contention and lost their conference championship game.

We have a better strength of schedule than Penn St. This crap is ridiculous.

Texas has a pretty good path.
I’m still disgusted.
I get it.

I have thought we should be ahead of Peen State in the rankings (for what seems like several weeks now), but we gettin a meaningful game over the holidays and have a chance to win a biggun on the road and move on.

Dey'd be nothin sweeter than winnin the next two and beatin both teams in the B10CG

GO VOLS

1. OR - was 1
2. BSU - was 4 GA
3. GA - was 7 BSU
4. AZ St - was 12
5. TX - was 2
6. SMU - was 3 PSU
7. PSU - was 5 ND
8. ND - was 6 tosu
9. tosu - was 8 UT
10. UT - was 9 IU
11. IU - was 10 SMU
12. Clemson - played in, lowest ranked conf champ

Bama out. My guess by not advancing anyone that didn't play today and keeping CCG losers ahead of teams that didn't play if they were ranked higher. Couple of teams that shouldn't even be in.
I had GA and BSU switched then changed. The SMU seeding is curious. Overall was close, PSU through IU was right order, just didn't count on the SMU fade.
