Windy's football discussion thread.

This got said about players skipping bowl games which proved wrong. Now even more are doing it. NFL won’t frown upon it if he’s good enough. And since he derives zero earnings from the NCAA, I like his thinking if true.

As far as I know it hasn't been mentioned, this is just a guy I know saying that's what he is going to do, in his opinion. Except he's telling me I'm stupid if I think Tua plays next year. Lol.

Agree completely. If it was Friend, it’d be over already. Probst can’t make that kind of leap. I am intrigued, but the meltdowns in the FF is so amusing to me. I’ve determined CA Vol is 13 years old and won’t live to see 19.
I left CA_Vol a message in the FF big recruiting day thread. ;-)

Who’s the last college football player you know of that sat out an entire season so he wouldn’t get hurt for the NFL draft? Skipping one game is ENTIRELY different.

Clarett got kicked from school and tried to enter after that happened but the SC ruled against him. He had issues and got into drugs sitting out a year. That wouldn’t be an issue for Tua.

Ask yourself this, where would Tua get drafted if he could enter next spring? He’d be the first QB taken imo. Does playing next season help him improve that? Likely more downside.

I understand the business aspect of it and trying to make a future but that’s not what college should be about at that age. Education and degrees should supersede football but not waiting to get in the league.

Well again, the whole argument is not what he should do, its what my friend actually thinks he will do, and he is convinced Tua will not play another down of football in college after the playoffs/NC this year.

I say he does. I don't believe for a second he sits out next year.

I’m with you.
There’s not a chance he sits if he’s not injured

MTSU player tossed for targeting. App State kicking there butts, and a stupid special teams play? Blue Raiders looking bad. AND, as I was typing, yet another stupid penalty.

I’m not worried about the strength coach after seeing last years team. Get an OC
We have replaced S&c coaches 10 times in 10 years. Pick up weight and flip tire. Eat
