I did some research and of course it's not pretty lol

Overall: Kentucky leads 147-66

@ Rupp I counted 16 wins. That's pretty much it.

Shaun,

I think your stats are correct but that is all time record. UT has played 36 times at Rupp specifically winning 4 times:
1/12/1977
1/20/1979
1/12/1997
2/7/2006

Even the POSSIBILITY of beating a consensus #1, on their court, is a tough game to play. Then make it Kentucky, at Rupp? I'd take that chance any day. Unlikely, but could be the biggest win, including football, in a decade. Easily since beating Memphis to take the #1 spot in basketball. (though only for one game). Golden and Maymon's gotta play big Go Vols!

Yeah. I just looked at it under all the away games.

Also, not sure when Rupp opened in 76...but we beat UK in 76 so maybe that was the 76-77 season and not 75-76. Either way...answer = not many times lol

I'm agreeing with you just pointing out that Rupp Arena opened in the fall of 1976. Twelve of the wins in Lexingtom above would have been at Memorial or Alumni Gym.

disclosure: this is not me saying we are going to win. continue...

can you imagine the effect on the program in every aspect if we were to win this game?

Interesting facts on Rupp as far as attendance..

In the Top 24 crowds at Rupp
we are tied with Indiana with 4 of those games :) So at least they like watching them beat us

Absolutely. It would be THE marquee/signature win that Martin needs to finally quiet all his detractors. I like Coach Martin but surely you guys understand I hope it doesn't happen tomorrow night.

It won't. I think it'll be close till about five minutes and you'll pull away. 12 point win for you, probably 70-58.

im with ya, although i do think we score a little bit more, i have a feeling our guys will be pumped and shoot better than they have recently. plus, after the last 2 shooting performances and ccm calling them out surely they have been in the gym. im talking to you TATUM and MCBEE!

no the only comparison i can think of is #1 memphis at memphis. that was a program changer.

Nope. That basically did nothing for us. We barely made the NCAA Tourney the next year and loss in the first. The definite program changer was beating #2 Florida, who technically #1 because the #1 team lost earlier that day. That was when everyone said "Wow, Tennessee is for real".
