UT's wins pre 1925 were at the Buell Armory, not Alumni Gym- and it was a pretty friendly place for the Vols.
Kentucky's Buell Armory Gymnasium Record
maybe the game could be played there instead? :ermm:
I love the write-up from your last win there in '23:
"Johnson and Beane were the outstanding stars for Tennessee, their game was considered rough, and Beane was put out of the contest for this style of play. Johnson remained the entire period and was largely responsible for the Vols' scores as he used hard tactics against the diminutive forward."

Yeah, okay. Please. What bull****.
he did a complete 180 on that one hahaha lol:
I have to agree with this. I was at that game, I remember the crowd swarming the court. Florida went on to win the championship, and UT went on a streak of like 5 consecutive wins against the 2 time champion Gators.Nope. That basically did nothing for us. We barely made the NCAA Tourney the next year and loss in the first. The definite program changer was beating #2 Florida, who technically #1 because the #1 team lost earlier that day. That was when everyone said "Wow, Tennessee is for real".
Prediction is a 15-20 point blowout but I think we at least play hard. I'd be shocked if this game was in single digits after the 10 minute mark. Kentucky is a way better team at Rupp than on the road and pretty much unbeatable.
