:D Tenn. will have to play their best to beat any of these teams. None of these teams will lay down. This is their shot also. I am real proud of the vols. They have had a great season. They have played way above their abilities this season.

If we hit the threes we will win. If we are cold we are in trouble.

I think that our guys will be fired up. Like Pearl said, this is the shot in the arm that this team needs right now. I just hope that Bradshaw's wrist can take a few more games. He'll have to have surgery on it when the season is over.. :cross:

I think the key to this game is whoever scores the most points. That team will very likely win the game.

Brilliant!!

the 2-4 run seemed to coincide with his injury :(

I'm picking UT to fall to WSU in my bracket as well.

Lofton is a good player, but he isn't in the same class as Reddick, and Carolina shut him down on his home court. I love the comments about Carolina being inconsistent. They're not the ones that have dropped 4 of their last 6 games.

Dude, seriously, this is a UT board, and you have "Vol" in your screen name. I don't think I'm the only one who takes offense to that. I'm not a Mod, but I think you should at least change your screen name or else get out of here. :bad:

I think it's funny. Remember the whole "bet the house" from wescharge? When UT plays and beats UNC, we will never see that guy again. I think it's worth waiting for. I just never in a million years expcted to see NC fans coming on here talking trash about bball.

I am disappointed when they hide behind their screen names though. Most of the posters from our rivals have the guts to at least show their allegiance.

NC is tough, but they are young. They have 1 returning person who actually played in the tournament last year, David Noel, and he averaged 2.4 MPG. UT is an older team, no tournament experience, and runs a faster tempo then the Heels. It will be a close game, and if either team wants to win you'll have to shut down Hansborough and Lofton.

Oh and UNC didnt shut down JJ, he just missed his junk shots he usually throws up and they fall in.

I think IFFFF we make it to the Sweet 16, I don't want to see UNC. Hansbrough will KIILLLLIULILLLL US

I am not a b-ball fan at all but I did watch NC play Duke and that sparked just enough interest to make me watch some the ACC tourney. UNC is young but there are also starting to peak right now. I hate to say it but UT looks like they already peaked and now they are headed down the mountain. The records speak for themselves. That said, there is no guarantee that either of these teams will even make the Sweet 16. Both are capable of big wins and both are equally capable of going down the crapper against a seemingly inferior team.

If this was the football team playing some lowranked opponent during football season when losing one game can knock you from the wraths of the BCS then I would be worried, in partly due to Fulmer. I have faith in Pearl that he will motivate his team and keep them level headed as they show us all what they are capable of doing on the court and knock off Winthrop. log on to espn and check out pearl on espn motion.

My high concern is the ridiculously high field goal percentages that UT has been giving up lately.

For what it's worth, the Vols opened as 9-point favorites but now it's down to 6 1/2.
That's actually not a bad line with all the 'overrated' press we've been getting.

i will take that line. I am thinking people may be putting alittle too much faith into winthrop.

who was that guy on this board who was garunteeing florida would kill the vols and claimed he put all this money on that game?? Did he end up morgaging his house or what?

haha, I wonder if he is going to have to take a second mortgage after thursday. I just hope he isnt wanting the vols to win, thats like the death kiss from hell. kinda like corso picking us to win.

I wouldn't worry 'bout it. The popular thing right now is to pick against us.
