Wisconsin RB denied admission, lists Vols

Running high doesn't have to do with a players height. It has to do with the amount of target you show when you run. Shoulders and knees over toes with forward lean.

When squared up on a opposing tackler your target strike zone (knees to shoulders) should be foot & half to two feet

Man one in hand worth 2 in bush

Butch is a gambler......I kind of like that. He'll lose a few hands because of it, but he'll win his share too.

Beats the hell out of the Dooley mentality of let everyone else do the work and we'll take what's left.

And you garnered all that from a highlight film? Very impressive. Dude is like 5'9 on his best day and he runs high? Whatever.
why yes i garnered it from a highlight film thats what watching fims does.. it gives info. For all the guys saying he is 5'9" so me saying he runs high is silly you A know nothing about football and likely didn't watch the film.

Most if his runs were straight up the gut and he was upright from start to finish on each ones even in situations he should have dropped his pads leading on ot question level of competition. The kid is fast but not that fast.. those holes were HUGE. Watch some film of other small backs and you will see they do not run high. Charlie Garner, Warrick Dunn Travis Stephens. I guess actually looking at the tape critically is against some unwritten rule. I am not coach or a scout but a foootball fan and pointed out things evne the a casual fan should have noticed. The kid has potential (speed) but needs to work on some things to be more than a decent backup. Also his running style screams injury list.

Just looking at the admission pages for UT and Wisconsin I see one big difference. UT requires 16 core courses for admission and Wisconsin requires 19-22 years of courses. Every admitted student at UW took at least three years of Spanish/German/Latin/etc. Whereas at Tennessee you are only required one year of foreign language. If I were a betting man I'd say he may not have completed 3 years of foreign language.

Read in the Wisconsin paper that they denied him admission because they wouldn't accept an online course in foreign languages that he had recently completed...so he had two years most likely.

Freshman RB Jordan Stevenson did meet Wisconsin's academic standards. He can play for another team this season. Alabama and Tennessee among others are in the hunt. It could be huge to have another RB in rotation this season. Especially one of his caliber. Everyone show him UT love on Twitter! @Jordanstevie2
