So this wasn't a clear referendum on the way the governor handled the unions? Funny...if the dems had won, I would think that would be the unified message we would be getting today.
Only a partisan would see it in such simplistic terms. Even the pro-Walker people said that the issues included, among other things, whether the recall mechanism was properly invoked over a political disagreement, and the fact that Wisconsin voters had voted 7 times over the last year or so, all about the same issue, and there was a bit of "enough already" to it.
But, as predicted by me earlier in the thread, and before the results, whichever side won was going to way overclaim the significance of it.
You have not disappointed.

lg azz nuggets
There is some truth to this. But given that Walker actually got more support this time indicates that his policies are popular. One only need to look at the public sector unions losing 2/3 of their membership to prove that point.

I really don't understand how you got guru status. Wish there was a mechanism in place to suggest that you be de-gurued.
I agree there is certainly some support for his anti-union policies. I'm just saying that calling it a "referendum" on the policies alone is a mistake, as it would have been a mistake to do so had he lost.
