Wish Haslam would sell Browns and buy some Vols

With all the money he’d make selling the Browns, he could then be our big Sugar Daddy (kind of like Knight is at Oregon).
We could call him our pseudo General Manager and he’d love to take the credit of “leading” the Vols to having an elite roster capable of winning national titles.
College football is now all about having the deepest pockets to buy the best roster. We need someone who is capable and willing to do that. Not sure I know of anyone else other than Haslam that fits that description.

I want my Falcons to beat Carolina and New Orleans to beat Tampa Bay on Sunday for Atlanta to make the playoff field.

You’ve seen what he’s done with the browns? You really want him meddling with the bold more than he does. He just needs to hush and write the checks.

My memory may be failing in my old age. Wasn’t Haslam behind the debacle with John Currie trying to hire Schiano? I always thought Haslam might have gotten his nose out of joint when his influence didn’t pan out with either of those hires.
They thought they had Mullen locked in. When that fell through, Haslam’s pick was Schiano. Anderson and Fulmer kind of used that to force out Currie and Haslam.

I don’t want the Haslams having any input on personnel ever again. The Browns are hot garbage and that’s a reflection of their ownership. They gave a sexual predator the richest contract in NFL history (at the time) and it’s been a predictable disaster.

Just want Jimmys money. We can tell him anything needed to get it.
He’s got money whether he owns Browns or not,as does his Dad and brother. As do many others. He’s free to pitch in whenever he wishes. It could be that he may want imput in exchange for that money, which should be avoided at all costs.

Gotta totally disagree. Money does not equal knowing wtf you are doing. And the egomaniac Haslam will think he has a say in all football operations if this occurred. Haslam's have been terrible for Cleveland. Some years past (maybe between the Dooley, Lane, and Bitch eras) I heard rumors from decent sources that Haslam was poking his nose into our football team business. It wasn't until Bitch was shown the door that someone smacked his nose for him and he no longer had input. That's what I heard anyway....no idea if it was reliable or not.

So you want Haslam to destroy the TN program like he has done with the Browns? Ok.

C'mon now, let's be honest and not exaggerate. It's not like the Browns were a functioning franchise before Haslam. He certainly hasn't improved them but there wasn't much there to destroy before his arrival.
