Since the start of the 2002 season, Tennessee has lost seven of its last eight games at home to nationally ranked SEC opponents. The only win during that span was against 11th-ranked Florida in 2004

Rex, if I get a chance to talk to Fulmer, I'll give him your e-mail address so he can apologize to you for beating Georgia and Florida twice apiece on the road during that period rather than at home.

If you were a UT student during that era, I bet you would be more upset.

so beating ranked non conference teams at home counts for nothing?

as for Vandy, ever heard the expression that even a blind squirrel finds a nut? i'd rather them get us in a down year that i year that matters.

remember rex you can't complain about fulmer. even after a 5-6 season last year or almost 10 years since our last SEC crown. fulmer is GOD.:eek:hmy:

Vandy is decent. Me saying they was worse this year is because of the loss of Cutler.

Maybe the buckets of $$$$ that we spend for season tickets should include the road games.:whatever:

I appreciate all Fulmer has done for this great university. I think his contract will expire on 2012. I wonder if we can get a NFL coach, just look at what mediocre NFL coach Pete Carroll achieved in college football. Again, the price is not gonna be a problem, we pay Fulmer 2.07 million this year though.

wow, losing to LSU has brought the Fulmer haters back out.

why isn't this loss being blamed on David Cutcliffe? or John Chavis? oh, wait, CPF is the Captain of the ship so in the end it's all on his shoulders.

I get it now.

and there's no guarantee that an NFL coach would bring success.

It's not the loss to LSU but the realization that it's yet another year without an SEC Championship. Two SEC titles in 14 years, none over the last 8 years, and a .700 record since 98 is far below what should be expected at UT.

Here we go again....let the countdown to next season and which NFL coach is coming here begin. Can we at least let the season end before we get fire the coach threads?

Aren't we all better at coaching maybe they should hire us all that would be a great idea

I said before the season that if UT could get 10 or more regular season wins it would be a sufficient sign of improvement for me to get off the 'Fire Fulmer' bus for at least the off season. I'm sticking with that so, with no disrepect to VU or KY, it all comes down to this weekend. If UT wins then they split the tough games 50-50 and won the games they were supposed to win. If, however, UT loses to Arky, IMO going 1-3 against tough teams coupled with down recruiting does not justify the $2 million+ per year.

Simply amazing how people will let something like 2 million dollars ride on something so small and insignificant.

To hell with actual results in turning an awful team around. Who cares that whole units have completely been upgraded. What's it matter that Tennessee has competed in every single game. So what that massive injuries are probably a good reason that Tennessee lost to LSU. Florida beat them by a whole damn point and are ONLY a Top 5 team. Oh, and Arkansas were to win an 8 OT thriller, well, that would just be the final straw.

People that gage their coaches on wins and losses alone, end up like Ole Miss.

Thank GOD you people aren't AD at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
