With the Vols moving up to first team out, will the committee have to show their work?

IMO they played 2 very close games with KSU. They should be ranked slightly ahead of KSU.

That’s not their “only” body of work……right?

K-ST has 2 “other” losses. One to Texas who TCU beat, and one to Tulane.

1 loss vs 3 loss

3 pt overtime win vs a 10 point win combined with everything else.

There’s simply more to it than the two head to heads.

Michigan Vs UGA is the only game that should have national championship implications.

But but but but there should be a 12 team playoff to determine a true national champion. Lol. What are we now 8 years in and some still can't see how useless the playoffs have been.

I think the playoffs are much better than someone selecting who the top two teams are; the way it used to be. I predict coming soon some team will win the national championship who was ranked 6th or lower in the rankings.

And that will be a shame. No one can convince me that Michigan and UGA should not be playing.

TCU has a crap SOS. They lose 3, maybe 4 games if they play our schedule.
TCU was 5-0 this season against ranked opponents during the regular season, UT was 5-1. TCU and Bama were the only other 2 teams that played more than 3 ranked games (at the time of the game). Bama played 5 and was 3-2. No other top ranked team had more than 3 ranked opponents at game time on their entire schedule during regular season.

The more playoff games you add, the more chances a lesser team could get lucky and beat a top ranked team.
I could see using the BCS formula to pick four teams for a playoff. That is plenty.

Is it also a shame to you when the NCAAT doesn’t play out chalk and the four 1 seeds aren’t in the final four? Which happens every year.

Yes. For this stupid question I respond with a stupid answer. TCU and Ohio State don't deserve to play for the national championship in college football
