I didn't fly anything. I was just a IR camera tech. Nothing fancy. Thing is when the 53's went somewhere, we had to go with em. Most of the time is was good..Vegas...Miami...Columbia (almost got a second wife)..then sometimes it was f@@king terrible, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa (anywhere). Switchedto C-130's (Talon I/II/P) and pretty much finished out my years on cruise control.I was gonna ask what you flew. That was an amazing aircraft packed full with a nav suite extraordinaire. I’ve heard mixed feelings on the MV-22’s but it sounds like they’re starting to hit their stride.
Really.... not a fan of the Q-18 eh? Liked the Q-15/17 3/2 FOV afocal better eh? But I say too much. We need to have a deeper discussion in about 4.5 yearsI didn't fly anything. Q-18. I still think I could work on that if you gave me on right now! 15 and 17 were way easier! When I was at Herbie they also had the Q-26 for the gunships. Never worked on that though. I am positive I left a Q-18 in the desert.Really.... not a fan of the Q-18 eh? Liked the Q-15/17 3/2 FOV afocal better eh? But I say too much. We need to have a deeper discussion in about 4.5 years
You may have cursed me unknowingly while performing your avionics maintenance duties. Let’s talk again in detail in Jan 2024.Q-18.
